The Weekend!!

The weekend, why do Saturdays and Sundays have to be so different from any other day they seem longer and so much more lonely than the other five days. Then the loneliness brings boredom and nervousness and thus the greatest emotional triggers for eating.  I have been bored, lonesome and nervous this weekend but I forced myself to stay in the moment be constantly aware of my surroundings and what I was doing.  This has been a very successful weekend, no overeating or eat the wrong things. It would be so simple to walk next door to Krogers and buy a package of cookies I have to admit I even thought about it yesterday but I stuck to my guns and the lifestyle that I chose when I had the surgery.  It hasn't been as difficult to get back on track as I had mself convinced it would be, I was really afraid I wouldn I have stuck to it for the entire week and I have no doubt I'll be okay now.  That light at the end of the tunnel is bigger and brighter than ever and my goal is right there for the taking, that's just what I'm going to do is take it for my very own. I hope that all of you have had as successful a week and weekend as I have.  Have a wonderful day everyone.

Ronnie - Krogers is next door?  WOW - what a temptation!!!  When you're feeling "down" here's a few suggestions - WALK (the opposite direction than Krogers LOL) and/or play.  It's as important to play as it is to work and so often we ignore that fact.  Go to the park and swing like you were a 5 year old, skip, jump rope, skate (unless you are an absolute clutz like me), find at least 5 people it would be safe to "Hi" to when you see them on your walk.  Go to a pet store and enjoy the watching the baby animals, take a long long bubble bath (with candles and "the works")  Treat yourself in all the non-food ways you can think of.  And most importantly, give yourself a zillion pats on the back for a spectacular job well done
