5DPT - Day 3 Temptation in the Way....

This is Day 3 of the 5DPT, and I am feeling great. I haven't noticed that much of a change in the scale, but I have noticed a few lost inches.

Today is Saturday, and I had to work today. When I walked in at 7am the office was filled with the aroma of take out orders of bacon, sausage, pancakes, syrup and a gourmet breakfast pizza!  I was asked would you like some breakfast we have plenty as my nostrils found themselves lifting to sniff out the "fat, high cholesterol laced, million calorie foods we call goodies.   No, thank you I replied as I sipped on my coffee...I've already had my breakfast (2 hard boiled eggs), I didn't tell them that as I went back to my cubicle to surf the OH website feeling very much in control.

I give you so much credit for resisting the temptations of that gourmet breakfast. I feel I would have crumbled to the occasion ... your strength is truly an inspiration to me. I have been fighitng the carb monsters and toast and coffee has been my breakfast a lot this week. If I eat a one egg omlet I just am not satisfied. I bought and am reading the 5dpt and want to try it. I enjoy your posts and look forward to hearing the results of your 5dpt.

Kanimprove, try using two eggs or maybe even egg beaters.  When I make my Spinach & Cheese Omelet I use Egg Beaters.  Believe it or not its very satisfying and I also add one slice of turkey bacon.  After 30 to 45 minutes I have my coffee....lose the toast and give it a try.

Thanks for the egg tip. I'm going to try to do the 5dpt starting tomorrow. Today I tried to stay away from the carb monster... I had pumpkin sausage soup and protien shakes as a prelude to the next five days. But  I fell prey to the toast and coffee I do so love. I keep telling myself tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow is day one... let's see if I can make this work. My 5dpt book will be by my side for suggested eating for the next five days. I'll be trying my best :-).

This is my day 3 of the 5DPT also!!  The first day was the hardest!  Like you,  I don't no about the change in weight but I'm alot less bloated!!  That in it self makes me feel better!  Today I had a serving of egg beaters seasoned up with garlic and onion for breakfast, now I'm getting read for a protein shake for my snack...(I got up really really late  1:00 pm) and then it's all protein for dinner tonite...which will be either tuna or chicken.  So far so good, I can tell that I have a pouch again!

I too start surfing this website whenever my head tells me to eat.  Wish I hadn't ever gone away from it!

You two are inspiring me to try again. I only made it until day three and fell way off the wagon. The other morning I went to work all motivated only to find a May basket candy bag in my in box, and leftovers from a Volunteer banquet. I gave the bag away right away and resisted for a couple hours then started grazing. It is so infuriating!!! Keep up the good work. You are my OH idols! :)
