Back On Track Together
fell off
I am glad that I could help and reassure you that your band can still work! Don't give up! I find that plateaus mean that my body is used to the current regimen and I need to change things up. You'll find what that is. You have guts for doing the 5dpt! I would be too hungry to survive it! Congrats on sticking with it (yeah, I know it's day 2... but you're almost to "hump day"!). The hardest 2 days will be behind you!
I do appreciate you offering support (and reassurance that I should still post even though I have all these complications). Sometimes I feel like I'm ruining the party (the "I love my RNY" attitudes), but I do need support and I have no where else to turn to. So thanks! The support on BOTT is amazing and non-judgemental. I love the people here!
Well, I hope to see you break that plateau soon (the initial weight loss with the 5dpt might rebound after you eat solids or start exercise again as you pointed out). I had to laugh about your "massive muscle" under your fat! I say that too! My dad has a beer belly (we call it his peanut butter belly as he is a peanut butter nut and passes up on the beer). His doctor was doing his physical and palpitating his abdomen and said, "Good God, you are solid muscle under that fat!"! LOL! I guess it runs in the family!
