Hi BOTTs,

My good friend Charlie called me last night from FL.  An OH member was visiting her and she started throwing up and was very ill.  They took her to the local ER and Charlie tried to tell them to check for a blockage.  We have lost some members on OH due to blockages not being found in time.

They were not going to listen to her.  To make a long story short, they finally listened and it was a blockage.

This is a reminder, we have to be the voice of knowledge with our procedures and what may be a problem when we find ourselves in an emergency situation.  Educate your loved ones as well if you are not able to talk....

Stay safe and healthy BOTTs

Take care,
Kathy

great reminder, as is our medic alert tags to remind emergency medical personnel not to insert breathing tubes/ gastric tubes blindly.

I teach my clients that they have to advocate for themselves.  We have to do the same things also.

I am glad that somebody finally listened!
