I so agree!  I don't even own a scale, never want to step on one again!  I dispise them.  They are depressing and cause too much anguish.  I can tell by my clothes and my eating habits if things are out of wack.  I don't need that silly machine to tell me.  Count me in!

Clueless about weight loss and weight loss surgery of any kind.

Kathy, I've been thinking about this since yesterday when I said Yes, LOL!! So, are we supposed to set some kind of a goal for ourselves?? I'm still sitting at 161lbs~haven't lost since last friday, but haven't gained either so I guess that ok. I'm going to try to be vigilant with diet and exercise during the 28days and would just like to get on the scale on March 1st in the 150's (at least 159, LOL)

As you know, I joined the challenge, but it just hit me: next 2 weeks I have to really follow my food plan - eating, since I would not know how do I do on a scale.  In the past, if my scale showed that I lost 'nice" amount of weight - I allowed myself to "cheat", and have food from : "use sparingly" list... ouch... no more "sampling" of desserts... no more bread crust....no more extra piece of fruit, no more...  2 weeks !!!.

Next week I will travel, so on one hand that will be easier, but the extra stress of business traveling may add additional strain on me.... (and the fact that I dealt with that in the past with food).  This will be the time to really journal my food and to count every bite...I am planning to take "protein" snacks with me for every day, and eat salads with proteins for 2 meals a day.

I think I can...
I think I can...

I KNOW I CAN and I WILL

OK, I'm gonna try it.  I'm only doing moderately well with getting back on track--some improvement, but not as dramatically as I'd hoped--and at this point, I figure anything is worth a try.  The "scale hell challenge" can't hurt!!!

Always,
Jo

I am So into this challenge. I am new to this board, and while I am only 7 months out, I love the atmosphere and friendliness of this board. I've been at an aprox 5 week stall (down 2 lbs, up 1, down 1 up .5, etc) and so I have told my husband to take it away starting 2/1. It will be exciting to see the resuslts on the 28th! :-) But I KNOW I am going to try and get him to give it back to me... I hope he's as strong as he looks!
