Back On Track Together
Did You Move To Lose Botts? Weekend Is Here!
Hey BOTTs,
I am one that is sooooooooooo glad this week is over. Took the day off working out wise but plan on hitting it hard this weekend. That way if I get off track next week I have two days in my pocket.
Tomorrow I am going to my boxing class and then Sunday I will be doing 3 miles on the treadmill and some weight training. Free weights...
So my BOTT friends, Are you going to move to lose and or maintain this weekend? Come on, you can do it, let us know your plans and share and inspire!!!
Take care,
Kathy

It was one of those weeks when all my hopes to excersize went out the window... but tonight I actually got home at a reasonable time, told the family if they wanted me to cook, they would have to wait until I worked out... Got 3 miles in and feel so much better about me!

I took my daughter to school, headed off to the gym at the hospital where I work, got on the treadmill and had absolutely no energy, motivation or want to do my couch to 5k program. But the guy on my podcast does say to rest a day in between, so I just walked, but only 30 min not 1 hr. Then I went to the Starbucks at the hospital, got a sf nonfat drink, and sat down to read a magazine. I am not sure how much dedicated exercise I will get over the next 3 days as I am working, but I will try.

Now if I just stay away from the crackers, I will be fine.

Hi Vivienne,
Here are a few suggestions.. Make sure you are not burning yourself out, from doing the same thing over and over again. Try and change it up.. Also, make sure you eat a complex carb before your workout and protein an hour after. This will give you energy and replenish your muscles after working out.
Take a day or two off. With working out you get out of it what you put in it. So it's better to take a few days off and workout when you can give it 200 %, instead of a workout where you are tired and can only give 50%.
Take the weekend off and hit the ground running come the new week.
Keep us posted on how you do ok?

Kathy,
thanks for letting me know it is ok to skip a day once in a while. I guess ive been so caught up in the fact that im stuck weightloss wise, I thought cranking up the workout would help. As you say though, it doesnt work if I dont give it my all, so since im working all weekend, I will consider exercise not an option. I work Monday also but will try to get some in.

Kathy, I love the to do list you just posted.. I wish I felt I deserved it so I guess I need to do something about it. my goal for this weekend today do day one of couch to 5k and tomorrow I'm going to do a workout on the total gym. I will not let it intimidate me anymore I will be ok using it. I will win this battle with my mind and the total gym. ho rah... Maria
