Back On Track Together
Welcome to Back On Track Together
Thank you Cathy and Kathy!
I had my RNY back in 2005 in Ocala, FL with Dr. Jawad. I started at 420 lbs and managed to get down to 265 in a little over a year. Life happened and my new habits ended up taking a back seat. I have been telling myself for years that I can start again whenever I want to, but now I am finally putting that into action! I've been plugging away for about a month now. Things have been moving very slowly... but I'm not giving up.
I have been pretty good about updating on my OH blog, both in the very beginning, and now which has been helpful for me to look back on. I have also been logging my foods on "Lose It". However it is very time consuming and so recently I have begun writing what I eat in my planner.
Looking forward to participating in the journeys of other, including others in mine, as well as learning new tips, tricks, and information!

It's not just the WEIGHT you LOSE, it's the LIFE you GAIN.
RNY, Mar.2005 | Dr. Muhammed Jawad - Orlando, FL | S.W. 420 lb. - G.W. 160 lb.
Thanks for starting your group. I have a mechanical failure RNY so my journey has been different from some others. I similarly ended up with 40 lbs. still to lose. I view our weight-loss journeys a lot like sailing across the ocean. Seems that I ended in the same boat as many others and now need to travel the slow journey to a normal BMI by old fashioned dieting. I really can't see the horizon. I haven't had a normal BMI for 40 years. My tool is broken so I have to depend on behavioral strategies to keep me afloat. The other option is the long process of a revision. I just don't want to go that route. I hope to receive the encouragement I need when the stormy winds of frustration come crashing into my sail which currently is billowing with enthusiasm as I begin this journey. I know in a few weeks, as I hit the week 2 plateau, I will need every bit of motivation and support to keep from going off the deep end with food. I know patience and perseverance will get me to my goal. I also know my frustration will sore as I watch the scale remain steadfast while I adhere to my diet. I have jumped ship so many times at that point. I am hoping someone will help me through that part of my journey so that I can reach my normal BMI. I read that you, Cathy, are a weight loss coach. I hope I can learn from you. Thanks everyone for your support. Just me
