Who has already had surgery? If you have, which did you select and why? If you are researching having WLS, why?
Often, we don't going thru the "whys" with ourselves. We just decide we need a surgical solution and begin the process of insurance approval. It's such a huge decision, with lifelong consequences, that it's good to be a little introspective and ponder why.
I'd encourage everyone to share their own experiences. Where are you now? Pre-op or Post-op, why you are researching WLS or had it done, what you hope to get out of it and the associated goals or expectations you have. It might be helpful for all of us to start a dialog on this group about it.

Hi all! I'm almost three years out from VSG surgery with Dr. Maick. Having surgery remains the best decision I've made in a long time. While I have not reached my dr's goal (yet?), I have reached all my fitness, food, and lifestyle goals, so I'm thrilled with my success.
I'm considering plastic surgery--breast reduction, tummy tuck, and liposuction, and wondering if anyone post WLS has had success getting insurance to pay for any or all of these services. It's on my agenda to discuss with Dr. Maick at my 3 year check in a few weeks. I read tonight that Dr. Macik does tummy tucks himself, but my #1 choice for surgery is the reduction, which he does not do. Thanks for any tips or information you can offer.

New to OH and this group, I am having my surgery July 25th and absolutely CAN'T WAIT! I can't wait to have my new life, my healthand a great body! The life I have always wanted!
I was wondering about the Conference in October & I was looking for the discount code, somewhere i read it was supposed to be in the Group Leaders signature but i didn't see it, SO if anyone has it, it would be very appreciated!
