Topic: Spring hiking spots
I have a great book that highlights 50 hikes around the metro area that are dog-friendly. One of my favorite places is Arabia Mountain (http://arabiaalliance.org/). It's very easy to get to off the I-20 and has a paved path and some woodland paths and some really incredible scenery and not a lot of people.
