I can relate! I lose one pound to my husband's five....grrrr! I try to look at it this way - women are strong and persistent and we'll keep on our weight loss/health journey despite this inequity. I won't say all men would give up but I know many who would. At least I'm losing!!

Wow you are a veritable fountain of information and great info at that! I'd never thought about supplements having carbs in them, I'm gonna have to check that. That and coffee may be my problems, thanks for the enlightenment!

GRRRRRR my ketone sticks say I have only a small trace of ketones. I should have more lol. Finally stopped raining over here in Chico. Went for a 3.6 mile run...I don't know why I was so out of it today and couldn't finish the 6.3.  And almost done moving everything in the house! It will be so nice not having to take care of a huge house all by myself...I feel relieved already :)

My dear handsome husband was told, by his doctor, to lose weight.  The man told him, just reduce your carbs.

So in the last month, my husband is having FEWER carbs.  He cut out the cookies, soda, candy, and bready snacks.  At mealtimes, he has maybe one piece of bread.  No more chips between meals.

That's all -- No counting carbs, tracking calories or protein, none of that.

And he's dropped 9 pounds since New Year!!!

Leave it to a man to upstage a woman at her own game!

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Oh, I am soooo with you on the rain!  I put out 60 cu ft of vegetable garden soil yesterday, and lo and behold nature is watering it for me!  (Wish I had mixed it up better ahead of time, though).  For me, Sunday morning is grocery-shopping time, and now I'm unpacking alll this stuff .... while it rains.  And rains.  And rains!

So far it's been eggs, hollandaise, coffee, and cheese for me ... and I think that's gonna be it the whole day!

I found a protein powder I love called Isopure no carb and it has 210 cal, 0 fat, 0 carb and 50 protein so that's been helping.
I am training for a race...a shoe store downtown holds races all of the time up in Bidwell Park and I signed up for the 10k in a few weeks! eeek!
And yes I go to Chico State but I grew up here. It's a nice town but i'll be done with it when I'm done with college after this semester lol.
Oooo we are only a day apart! You have done an awesome job as well! :)

Hello everyone,

It's raining here in Northern California so I'm catching up on OH.  I was supposed to hike this morning but think I'll get a Mani/Pedi instead.  My challenge of the day is going to be smelling the popcorn in the movies this afternoon.  I'm going to take some cheese to munch on if I need it.

I re-read the Atkins 1972 book last night and I've been back on that version for two days.  I'm feeling great and my hunger left yesterday.  The difference in the 1972 version is that we count all carbs, not net carbs.

My plan for the day is meat, dairy and 1 protein pudding.  I'll come back later with my report.  This week I'm going to focus on feeling satisfied and not so much on the calorie counts. I think I was hungry a lot the last two weeks because protein is higher calorie so I was trying to restrict it more.

What's your plan for the day?
