Welcome to our group. There are several "sticky" threads at the top of the list of discussions, and you will probably find what you need there in terms of information.
Great to have you on board!
Wow you've done wonderful!
Too funny about the surgery date. Just think we were going through a lot of butterflies on that date. My mouth was so dry going to the hospital I couldn't swallow, LOL.
And thank you for this great board!

Welcome to the group!! Wow on your weight loss and ability to maintain all but those 15 pounds. What a big accomplishment that is! I think we all have things to learn from you so I'm glad you're joining us.
I read the Atkin's 1972 edition. That's the one that counts all carbs before it became "net carbs" etc. Others have read the other books. I think the principles are the same. Cut the carbs. So whatever works for you.
I joined WW last fall because I want another layer of accountability when I get to maintenance. There's a leader that I really like so I don't mind going to the meetings. I'm not counting points at this time but I do know what my 29 points look like. I track my food in myfitnesspal .com because i am still in the counting calories/protein/carbs stage for me as I try to get to goal.
Welcome!!!Thanks!
Yes the accountability is what keeps me on track. Guess lately not so much. Also thank you for the book info.

Good morning!
So here's what I want to read:
What are you eating?
AND
What's eating you? (if anything)
I'm eating lower fat for a few days until the headcold virus stops working its way through my gut (if you know what I mean). So for me, tomorrow, nothing but bananas and yogurt.
What's eating me? My kids are off to college and traveling around the world, and I miss them and worry about them. But it's not driving me to eat, yet!
How are your low carb adventures going, folks?
Lisa

Topic: RE: MONDAY CARb Accountability Roundup (Up so late, I'm early!)
Hi gang,
I went to WW tonight. I am down 4.4 pounds for the 5 weeks of Atkins. Today starts week 6. I'm cool with that since it's more than I was losing before.
Something feels wonky in my body. I get these unbelievable bouts of hunger. It's like the bottom falls out from under me and I just need food. I've never had blood sugar issues but this feels like it might be one. I'm seeing my surgeon on Thursday so will talk to him about it. The good news is that what I'm grabing is at mealtime and not bad.
Morning:
Protein Pudding & 1 hardboiled egg
Lunch:
1 trader joe's chicken thigh patty
pork rinds
1/2 T light mayo
Dinner in two parts
2:1 Oatmeal high protein/high fiber bar at WW because I was too hungry to wait until 8pm
6 oz shrimp in butter & meyer lemon
Calories - 1002
Protein - 133
Total Carbs - 33

Oy, that's pretty darn restrictive. I think I'll keep plodding along and shedding ounces where I can. :)
