B-Chicken breast and steamed broccoli
L- 2 boiled eggs
Snack- a few small cheese chunks
D-chicken breast and steamed broccoli

If I get hungry tonight I'll have a small salad.

I sure noticed today that I felt full longer than I have been. Definitely haven't been getting enough protein in the last several months.

Oh yeah sounds great!  And added garlic, bring it on.  Double yum!   I doubt it would even last 2-3 days in my fridge.

Thanks.

It's 3 parts stilton to 1 part single or double cream, mix until it's a smooth, buttery consistency.  I spread it on Ryvitas, but you can spread it on steak (add some chopped mushrooms) or have it on toast.  Garlic makes it especially sinful, but you can make chicken kievs with it, or mix it into sausages or meatloaves.  Make it runnier and use it as a dip with vegetables!  Keeps 2 or 3 days in the fridge, gradually gets thicker with time..

My one suggestion is to stick to natural foods.  So meats, dairy, veggies, eggs and fats.  No processed foods.

I find I lose best when I adhere to this advice.

I'm Iris. I had my RNY on 8-8-08. At my heaviest I was 315 lbs. At my one year surgiversary I was at my lowest of 208 lbs. Then things began to climb. Life gets in the way - motivation lessens and I realized this fall that I was up to 245 lbs. Not acceptible to me. This morning I weighed in at 235 lbs. Things are looking up.

My surgeon used Atkins as his "liver shrinking" regiment for the 2 weeks prior to surgery and highly recommended it as a lifelong approach as a post op. I of course knew my body better than anyone and knew what I could handle.......ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.................I thought surely I will be compliant and never test the limits. <<>> I don't dump. I hoped I would be one to dump. I think I actually prayed to be a dumper. I needed my body to step in where and when my will power didn't. Now I realize how flawed my approach to weight loss surgery has actually been.

I thought I was educated and prepared for surgery. In a way I was as it pertained to my stomach and the physical changes. I could have used more mental preparation for the whole relationship I have established with food including where, when and why.

So here I am. Another post-op returning to the basics. I know my tool still works. I haven't completely undone the surgery. I do have to examine my motives and my choices on a meal by meal basis. I look forward to learning from yall and hopefully in the process I can offer some small nugget to empower you on your journey.

B ~ Coffee (Nectar of the Gods!) with almond milk, a couple drops of Pralines and Cream Capella and a teenie, tiny amount of coconut oil.  I add the oil because I'm on Natural dessicated Thyroid and fat helps the absorption.  ( I have a slow, whacked out thyroid)

L~ Egg foo young.  2 eggs scrambled add some ground beef and bean sprouts fryed in sesame oil and rice bran oil.  Sprayed with Bragg liquid aminos.   Super high protein, very tasty and super quick to make!

S ~ I don't know?  After reading about Stilton butter maybe steak with Stilton butter?

OMIGAWD!  Is Stilton butter Stilton mixed in butter?  If so sounds divine.  I love Stilton and butter.  It would be great on steak.   Do you add anything else to it?

Yesterday went fairly well. I stuck to my plan with the exception of my late night snack. I did have a horrible headache late afternoon that tylenol wouldn't touch. I scavenged the pantry and fridge for my "healthiest" food remedy - I opted for one perfect strawberry dipped in dark chocolate. Within 3 minutes my headache was gone. It's amazing what our bodies can become addicted to.

Hopefully today will go as well as yesterday. Here's the plan....

Commute: Coffee w/ splenda & 1/2 and 1/2
B: Scrambled eggs w/ bean salsa & cheese
s: SF jello
L: Chef Salad
s: sunflower seeds
D: Chicken Salad lettuce wraps
lns: Celery w/ peanut butter

Lots and Lots and Lots of water. Planning on a 30 minute walk at lunch time. I've figured out how to use the radio on my smart phone so that should keep me motivated and entertained. I'll let yall know how that goes.

Topic: RE: MONDAYYYyy!!! CARb Accountability Roundup Time

Thank you for the advice and recipe. You're right about the cheeze-its. Absolutely evil!!! They are one of the foods that as a preteen made me obese. I LOVE cheese!! I will def make the parmesan chips when the urge strikes. I have had much success with low carb in the past, so I know what I need to do. And I will do it. Have a great day! ~Christy BTW, all the cheeze-its and creme eggs are gone. I will be victorious today!
