Thank You Wacka Doodle,
I still have 30+ pounds to lose, but I think your right about adding a little to my total, some days I don't even make the 20 carbs so maybe an extra salad a day!!!

I used almond meal when I was making cheesecake for the holidays.  It makes a great crust, not low cal, but low carb.

First, congratulations on your 12-pound weight loss, and on feeling great -- fantastic!

Second, your calorie intake is fine.  You really are doing fine if you've lost 12 pounds in four weeks, but you may have become accustomed to the rapid weight loss, which is lovely, but probably you should not expect that on an ongoing basis.

You have been on the Induction phase, and you should probably consider adding some carbs into your diet on a very, very gradual basis, a couple of weeks at a time.

This is a link to the Atkins Ladder -- It's time to get into Ongoing Weight Loss!

Urgh, pre-menopause is not being kind to my body.  Craving sweets, and diet soda, and SALTY stuff, not usually an issue.  My blood pressure has soared up to normal (122/76 -- rather high for me) and I was chastized by my doctor about my exercise plan's "lack of rigor."

Sooooooooooo .... going to go back to induction for two weeks, see if I can get myself back in gear,  Such a shame, I really enjoy maintenance!

But, all of that is startig tomorrow -- Here was today!

B:  iced tea,  piece of cheese, small apple
S:  coffee with full cream
L: 3/4 of a whole wheat sandwich:  chopped liver and turkey pastrami with pepperoncinis (see where the sodium is slipping in?)
S: banana, diet soda
D:  half of a very small vegetable pizza

I would guess it's the soda, usually has sodium in it. Plus something about the fake sugar in it can cause bloating. I quit drinking it several years ago when I got banded and have noticed a big difference in my "gut" just feels better and calmer. Try stopping it for awhile and see if it makes a difference.
