Thanks Lisa...

I did quite nicely over the weekend.  I only had a bite of cake .. late on Saturday... (a real bite)  but it was a polish style poppy seed cake and I absolutely had to have a bite.  Did not go for the polish candies. After my BF ate some - I kissed him to get the taste... yummy...

beside that - I did great.  Both days less than 60 gr carbs and less than 40 net carbs.
I almost lost it on Sunday when I started digging into my Hershey  kisses stash... so I got rid of the rest of them (garbage disposal). can't have them.

Today starting good.  Had some protein coffee, and some other low carb food...
plan is:

protein coffee
bigos + veggies+ some meat ( I ate to early - pain, pain, pain..ulcer??? - most likely is forming.)
protein coffee...
Flax muffin + PB (thanks for the recipe - love it)
meat + veggies
cabbage + meats (if my pouch can tolerate foods again)
yogurt + flax + proteins... or protein ice cream.

The Caveman Diet: Nutrition for Paleolithic People http://www.thepaleodiet.com/ Dr. Cordain suggests that people eat "what we were genetically designed to eat," for optimal health and sound weight loss.

It's not really harder to do than any other healthy way of eating -- Just means changing your habits over time ... Haven't seen anyone on this board talking it up much, so if you're doing it -- please share what you learn!!!

It is two scoops of choc protein powder in hot almong milk, make like "cocoa". Just don't heat your milk/water any hotter the 130-140 degrees or most protein powders will clump.
Good luck,
H

Anyone here eat Paleo? And if so what are your go to foods? I just read the book and I am so fascinated by everything that was said...it just seems like a lot of work for every meal.

Last week was a bear (hence fewer CARb posts), but I'm starting this one o ut right, for sure -- cooking ahead, preparing in advance ... gonna be ready!!!

In any event, I'm setting up this thread for MONDAY's carb accountability -- of course, if you wanna start posting on Sunday, the more the merrier!!!

Have I mentioned lately that I love this group?

Oh, I had a whole week of carby slip-ups, ending Friday night.  At least I enjoyed mine -- hope yours was good, too!
