We went on the Bridge course together, and Janice used to Cross Stitch while I was Fly Fishing.  She has now joined the Swansea Astronomical Society and wants a telescope for Christmas.  We sit in our Conservatory and watch the birds come to feed.  Nothing as exotic as you, but we do see some interesting winter migrants on Talley Lakes.

Tuesday eats:

3 boiled eggs
6 ozs home made burger with 2 Tsps sweetcorn
2 Ryvitas with 2 light cheese triangles
Chicken for tea, with tomatoes
2 Atkins bars
Coffee and tea.

I made mostly good food choices all weekend.  I am past trying things that make me sick.  Crave beef like crazy... so I indulged in that.
Yesterday I gorged myself on fresh SC peaches.. (got a whole basket)  and I paid for it.  The cleaned me out and... when I got too brave and ate some with a skin... they came up... o well... 3 years post op - it is good to know that my pouch is still there.

Today is going to be a good day.  At least food wise.

coffee+ almond milk
1/2 protein bar (before walking)
coffee+ almond milk
beef cold cuts.. (lean and no sugar)
protein shake
salmon + veggies??
protein bar (maybe)
meatloaf + salad

I'm not at goal yet, I don't think.  I'd like to lose anther 5-10 lbs to have some bounce back room.  I've been staying around 20-30 net carbs (taking out only fiber) since around Feb and I certainly haven't lost 7 lbs in a week, more like 2 as a highest.  My carbs come mainly from fresh veggies and dairy.  Of course I admit to an occasional cracker or chocolate, but that is very rare.  Maybe mine is slower because it is a more steady level of carbs instead of a big drop?

Well that's interesting -- Do you and Janice ever sign up for courses together?

I just added a bird feeder to the back yard outside my family room window.  It was very entertaining watchin the birds that ate from the feeder, the birds that jiggled the feeder to make seeds drop for other birds, the squirrels that came in for sloppy seconds, the dog casually observing it all, and the cat salivating at the window.

The whole thing made me much more aware of the wild birds in our community.  Last Friday I saw a giant green parrot flying through the trees outside of the school where I teach; and also a huge double-crested cormorant.  Last night at a play downtown, we saw a pair of mallard ducks looking confused about why there were a bunch of people around their watering hole (the reflecting pond).  So I have to say, I appreciate her appreciation of bird watching!

Dang, I lost too quickly on induction, added back carbs, and am now in carb mania.  Seems to be little middle ground with me, but at least I did not gain back any of my losses!!!

Today was:

B:  coffee with cream, 3 poached eggs
S:  watermelon
L:  Indian food -- high fiber and spices (various curries) -- no rice, no bread
S:  chocolate covered almonds
D:  half an ear of barbecued corn, watermelon, and two hamburger patties with ketchup

I need to find some healthy middle ground with the carbs, because this cannot be good for me.  When I do induction, the weight drops too quickly.  When I add carbs (even if high fiber) then it ratches up my carb frenzy.  Grrrrrrrrr . . . .
