Tuesday:
I went on a scale this morning and I am down 3 lbs... in one week. That is due to exercise, cutting out wine and other alcohol, and limiting carbs.  Even though last night I ate 4 peaches... (no skin, learned my lesson) still the scale showed some loss.  I was suspecting that since my pants fit with ease yesterday.
I am seeing my doc tomorrow and will have my blood work done so I am planning to take it really easy today.

Today eats: (planned)
Coffee + almond milk
protein shake + almond milk, sunflower seeds
tuna+ something...(veggies)
protein shake or yogurt + flax + blueberries
some peaches...
chicken, green lettuce, cheese.

You may try to find quinoa breakfast flakes... Then mix them with some flax meal (1 Tbs).  Not only these may satisfy your "hunger" fro hot cereal - but will also provide some proteins and fiber.

Thank you
Thats what I was afraid of.  I really miss oatmeal in the winter, and granola for my yogurt, but if I can't find a carbfree alternative I will have to skip it.  I'm not willing to unleash the carb beast at this point because I'm  doing to well to slip on carbs again.

I just leave for a weekend and the board is half dead... people... check and report

My weekend was good.  I was at a herbal conference (whole weekend) and my brian feel full.
So much info.  I tried to attend things like that every year to learn new things, meet some old and new friends, and restick my herbal cabinet at least for next few months. (so now I am broke - do not ask me for donations - but if you have any extra money - I will gladly help you spending it..lol)

anyway - ate ok the whole weekend.  The food was rather horrible... with ok chicken but stinking fish and not much of a selection for someone like me. But I had my protein drinks and usually breakfast had some "fake" eggs (Ithink they were the eggbeters - i would not dare to ask - just in case it was worse than that)  They were eatable - once I put some salt and pepper and some tabasco sauce on them.  Fresh fruits were good.  And some cottage cheese. So I usually load up on breakfast, took some cottage cheese and fruits for later snack and survived on what it was there.  (enough complaining..lol)

today back to work and the food shall be easy (ier):

Coffee+ protein drink
fake eggs + fruits
protein shake, flax muffin
cottage cheese + fruits
more protein shake + flax muffin
beef roast, 8 oz pure meat (missed my beef)
protein shake
4 peaches, cheese (over 2 hrs)
yogurt + protein powder...

The good think is that peaches always clean me out... lol..

Most starches do give me carbs cravings and most of them do cause in my RH.
But not the carbs in seeds and nuts - that includes all nuts, sesame flax, chia and sunflower seeds - these do not cause any trouble for me. I still like them and eat them.

Quinoa - in very limited qty - I can tolerate just fine.
But even carrots, beets, beans , etc - are a no-no for me.

Topic: RE: KILL THE CARB MONSTER, HOW DO YOU DO IT?
I'm in the same boat of having started to let myself have more carbs and now I want them all the time. I have gained about 5 lbs from a 55lbs loss. I know I have to stop it now before it gets out of control. I pray that I can.

The whole grains and socalled "good" carbs cause gravings for me.  Its no different than if i eat white carbs.  Except for ground flax seed, all carbs have the potential to unleash my inner carb monster.  I believe the reason I do not have the same issue with flax seed is because I use it in small amounts blended with protein powder.  Its not nearly the quantity I would consume with perhaps brown rice or quinoa etc.

As I search web sites for recipies, I find myself afraid to try some because I don't want to let the carb monster back in.  I know white and wheat flour, pasta, rice and potatoes, are things I can not try even in moderation.  Would things like whole oats or flax seed cause the same reaction for people?
