Rebecca, some people are lactose intolerant, some are whey intolerant, and some seem to react to dairy protein even in very small amounts (casein intolerance).  Don't knkow why though!  My oldest daughter breaks out into hives even if she has the smallest amount of cheese, so I have a small idea what you're going through!

A little concerned about your posting several days of low calorie count, though, even if you're sedentary.  Does your doctor know about this? I'm glad to see the protein up to 100, but perhaps you could be taking in more fat?

Stillman's diet produced problems, though I don't like to "bash" any plans.  High protein in conjunction with low fat tends to cause problems.  Might be okay for a few days to break a stall, but in the long run it can set a person up for resistance to weight loss (going into starvation mode).

Thanks for the tip Jilly.  Isn't it great to find products that are naturally low in carbs?

I finally found a pasta/marinara sauce that is acceptably low in carbs for me and still tastes normal. It's a generic brand called Simply Enjoy. I know around me, they carry it at Giant, and in the Northeast, they carry it at Stop & Shop - not sure about anywhere else in the country. Anyway, it only has 4g total carbs, which it breaks down into 2g fiber and 3g sugar, so there's some rounding at play somewhere, but even if it's really 5g total, that's only 3g net carbs per 1/2 cup serving (plus 3g protein). It's actually lower in net carbs than Bella Vita brand's "Low Carb Pasta Sauce." It's not marketed as being low carb - I just happened to stumble across it while reading the labels in the store. I use the marinara to dip my fried queso in  :)

I've used Walden Farms dressings in the past, but now that I'm not conting calories, I just use regular dressings that are low in carbs.

If you read the ingredients, it's really not that scary - mostly water, vinegar, and Splenda.

I LOVE Walden Farms pancake syrup. It's the only sugar free maple syrup I've found that does NOT have any sugar alcohols, and it tastes really good!

They also make a marshmallow dip that is pretty good, especially when mixed with natural peanut butter.

I also have their bbq sauces, and they're not bad, but I find I prefer the Kraft original light bbq sauce, and then I just mix it with mayo or ranch to sort of extend it.
