Situational depression I do a few things:

1.) Pray (this helps me)

2.) I do in home walking *Leslie Sansone* it keeps me moving and helps boost my mood
*here is a link to a free 1-mile walk!!*
http://www.walkathome.com/on-demand/1-mile_express.html

3.) Journal-this helps me get things out on paper, my feelings, random thoughts etc  I'm very visual and this helps a lot

4.) Get on here and just vent, the support on here rocks!

Hope this helps

Good low carb day so far.
Coffee+ proteins
cheese + cucumbers
coffee+ almond milk
more cheese and cucs
yogurt + protein + blueberries + flax
sunflower seeds
1/2 Greens whey krisp bar
D: chicken + peppers baked stuff..

so far 41 gr of carbs, with 16 gr fiber, = 25 net carbs.

As long as I get the chicken + the peppers I may end up with a good 35g net carbs... or only 30...Too many calories... but not too bad... still within limits..

Topic: RE: Beating Body Set-points.
I've had several set points over the decades and I'm struggling against my lowest one forever right now. A month may be just a routine slow down or short stall.  However frustrating, you'll break through.   I have no proven solution or I'd use it on myself.  However, I collect ideas others say worked and pass them on.

My dear long time pal coffeemate had to be sacraficed in both liquid and powder forms.  It was making things worse for me.  Now its unsweetened almond breeze almond milk at 2g carbs and 40 cal per cup.

I limit my beloved fruit to a few servings a week.  I'm way too carb sensitive to have it daily.  As a no op, a fruit or two were my only carb food most days.

You could set a new lower carb limit.  See where you average over the last month then adjust your total carbs/ net carbs/ carbs as a percent of total calories, as you see fit.

Raise fats or go full atkins while sticking with zero cholesterol fats as best you can.  I don't like the taste of most fats so I have to add it in with "good", cholesterol free fats.  I rarely have dairy but when I do I use ff cheese prepared with a little zero cholesterol olive oil or smart balance light omega 3 spread to get enough fats in my diet.  I think it makes a better tasting pizza or grilled cheese on lc flatbread than 2% cheeses.  Perhaps this is an option for you.

That's all I got.  Good luck and post what works for you.

Good for you evicting that fruit.

Just another reason we need this group so badly on OH.  Think of all the know it alls on other boards who will fight to the death insisting that some fruit could not possibly stop your weight loss or worse provided everthing else stayed constant.  We know better.

There are some things we just have to say bye bye to except for on special occaisions.  Thank God we are taking the time and effort required to learn our bodies so we don't get led astray by message board group think.

Thanks, this morning 300am I was feeling about the same as your daughter. dry heaves by then, got up on the side of the bed to go to the bathroom to heave again and couldn't get undizzy. Actually passed out and fell over onto DH who was waiting to see what I was gonna do. He said I just fell over into the bed ans was still retching aaaaaaand dry heaving.

All I remember about that part was being SO dizzy and then him calling my name urgently. Couldn't hardly walk to the bathroom even with and was throwing up bile/acid all over myself. I threw up my Nexium at bed time.

I feel better than that today though still a little wave of nausea every now and then. I am sticking to G2 today,I think.

I keep thinking poor DGSs if they felt as bad as I did, whew!

'Kay, y'all .... You know what to do here!

I'm having serious trouble beating back the blues this week.  My personal schedule changed drastically because a child's injuries are keeping me home, and while I'm grateful to be able to take care of him, I miss the constant movement and the drive I usually get to enjoy at work.  Not to mention the lost income and the anxiety over my kid's well-being.  So ... since I can't get OUT to exercise, and can't cake-dive, what suggestions do you have about overcoming situational depression?

My flexible food plan for the day:

B:  coffee, spinach, eggs, hollandaise, lox
S:  dunno
L:  blah, who cares
S:  whatevah
D:  The first thing I find in the freezer, I'll thaw, and that's dinner.

Whine, whine, whine.

What are YOU eating?
