Yup!  I've been back on track (everything was good except the fruit) since Monday morning.  I had a couple of days of severe cravings.  I'm back down the 1.5 pounds I went up on my fruit foray.  I'm grateful that I could let go of it.  I just can't go there because it's hard for me to stop once I start, even that 1/2 cup of berries a day.

 Hi, Phyllis!

You can do it! You are a lady with a plan. I always do better with a plan.

I wish you all the willpower in the world. Sounds like your program will keep you from getting too hungry. I find little meals are helpful, as long as I plan them and count calories/carbs.

Thank goodness have managed to elude diabetes. The only one in your immediate family. Fear has been a great motivator, at least for me. Sometimes, my food obsessions veils things, but I find writing about it and discussing it helps keep things in perspective. I must never forget who am I , or from where I came. I cannot go back there. You won't either, I can see your determination.

Keep us posed, we're rooting for you!

 Oh Lee,

I am a blackberry fiend. They are so compelling to me, I cannot think of much else when they are in the house. Same with cuties.

I know you will be back on track.....who thought a simple berry could be a trigger food (I knew).

Here's to a better week!

I'm late to the party tonight.  Tonight was WLS support group so I got home late, then had dinner and a friend over, but I knew I should come and be accountable!

I ate a little of a lot of different things today.

2 oz harris ranch tri tip
2 hardboiled eggs
homemade chicken salad
1/2 cup cauliflower
4 oz steak
a few green beans w/slivered almonds
a few macadamia nuts

I've been hungrier and craving sweet this week, coming off the fruit from last week but haven't caved to fruit etc...  So feeling good about being back on low carb

calories - 1027 (high but not minding because carbs under 20)
protein - 81
carbs - 18

Living alone makes it easier to keep things out of the house. If they aren't here, I won't get into them.  I do love me some berries, but I think I'll love getting to goal even more.

It's this stuff, cut into strips and fried in a pan:

..... served in a bowl of heated THIS:

That's right --  just two ingredients!  MMMMMmmmmm

Often, I substitute THIS for the TJs frying cheese:
