Topic: RE: Shirataki noodles question--Are they firm-al dente or
Shiratakis lend themselfs to Asian cooking more so than Italian. Think Lo mein, sesame noodles or as a substitute for rice.
The must be thoroughly rinsed and cooked either by boiling or stir frying. The texture remains pretty much the same no matter what you do to them, but taste and texture improve with cooking and seasoning.

Lisa,
I do drink a LOT of coffee. It is like I crave it. I can be black, w/cream, with cream and sweetner, regular or decaf. I love it all. When I try to tone it down some, I seem to crave it even more. Although I was always a coffee drinker pre-op it is really my biggiest vice post op.
I haven't reached my goal by about 75 -80 lbs and am 4 years out tomorrow. I am hoping to jump start my loss and to reach goal. Yesterday I was feeling ill and this morning when I took my blood pressure it was so low it was no wonder I was dizzy and nauseous.

I am so glad you posted this! It was very interesting to read!
How interesting that as a teenager, someone thought to try the low-carb way of eating. Any idea what prompted that?
We are glad to have you on board!

Interested in low-carb nutrition? Thinking of trying Atkins? Want to try high-fat and/or high-protein eating? Whether or not you have had (or are thinking about) WLS http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/

It's great to have you here! Actually I suspect that all surgical/nonsurgical types tend to benefit from this kind of diet, and the diversity here is pretty interesting.
We are glad to have you on board! Do jump in -- the water's fine!

Hi there! I think that many of us tend to consider holidays to be our personal vacation away from healthful eating, so you have lots of company here! Glad to have you here with us!

'Morning LC'rs -
Gonna spew this out fast then go finish up my taxes.
Coffee with heavy cream and Splenda - All day
B - Left over Enchilada Chicken and Atkins shake
L - Dunno
D - Dunno, but probably a baked ricotta thinga-ma-jig... will post recipe
S - Will have frozen DaVinci butterscotch ice cubes (came up with this idea last night and they hit the spot! Use any flavor you like as long as is sugar free, calorie free, and carbohydrate free). I use the mini cube trays which makes the treats bite size - just pour the syrup in straight from the bottle (or dilute it if you prefer - you could even add a little heavy cream... ohhh that gives me a great idea - next I'm going to make orange-creamsicle flavor!
Enjoy your weekend!

Topic: RE: How do I add pic to post?
Thanks Lisa -
I've tried what you suggested, but I do use Firefox, so it doesn't paste the pic. Well I'll still add the recipe to that thread and there's a pic under my photos for those who want to see it.
