Oh, do share your protein cake and cookie recipes, iuf you haven't already!!!!

Today I'm back to accountability, because I'm not feeling that great after having had low-sugar, whole-grain cookies yesterday (whole-grain is still grain, so the curse may have been reduced, but not by much).

Today, back to basics:
B:  eggs hollandaise with spinach and lox, also coffee and cream
S:  an eas myoplex shake, part soy -- we'll see how that settles in
L:  hamburger, no bun
S:  fried cheese with marinara
D: chicken and asparagus

that'll be it for me -- about 110 gm protein

Great job Lisa...
On Saturday I had my first back to the plan -  low carb day.   I di dnot feel very good for the last 3 days, (headache) so half of a day - was liquids only

Eats:
Coffee+ almond milk
-protein shake
-protein shake
4 cheese sticks
coffee + almond milk
nuts
protein cake (made a peach cobler for my BF So I made protein cake for me)
cheese sticks
protein cake...

I do not have recipe for the cake since I have been making that for so long, that just do it by the way that looks and tastes.
Eggs, little fat (coconut oil), almond milk, protein powder, backing powder, stevia (sweetener). mix the batter, mixed in some cubed peaches. baked for 25 min.  Nice and fluffy.  Looked like angel cake with baked in peaches.

Well, I didn't want to report until I had a few days under my belt, but . . with the help of a low carb lifestyle I finally made it to Onderland.  197 the past two days and 199 before that.  Yippee!  That has really been a goal of mine.  It has probably been 25 years since I saw that number.  WOW.  It feels good and now I want to for sure get to 195 before my 2 year surgiversary on August 17.  If I stick with the low carb, I will be fine.  But, as we get closer to goal the weight does not just fall off.

As a challenge today, I made a low carb cheesecake.  If it is delicious, I will share the recipe later.

Have a blessed day all!

Here's to your low carb life!

Hi- I haven't posted in awhile. I can relate about the dumping. I ended up going to a house blessing ceremony. My friend and her partner are building a house and they had grilled sausages. I had one with maybe just 1/4  of a roll. and a chocolate chip cookie. Yikes the cookie did did me in. I had RnY  surgery last August and have lost 148 lbs. ( lost 42lbs  of that weight prior to surgery)

I switched to almond milk and I make a yummy expresso frappe. I love it - I do use a Italian sugar free caramel syrup- but i don't  have many and it is a treat.I make a mean ceviche which I like too.

Has anyone noticed a rise in their cholesterol since being on Atkins?  I went on Atkins about a couple of months ago - but never went on the induction phase of the diet. I average around 35 to 50 gr of carbs a day. I have been enjoying bacon - something I haven't eaten in years and brie cheese.  I haven't felt any adverse affects.

The first month on a modified Atkins diet I lost 10lbs that was better then the previous 2 months  where it took me 2 months to loose 8 lbs. But this month I have been on a plateau from hell and all I have lost for the month of July is 2.5lbs and that is also with my exercising 6 times a week at the gym. I haven't done anything different then I did the month before food wise.  Go figure?

Oh well. I do notice that the closer I get to goal the harder it is to loose weight.

Well it is late... already 4 pm...
My day was carby yesterday and it is goingto be carby today.
O well
Found a new protein bar, a bit high in carbs, but something I though I can use (not a lot of sugar and no splenda or other stuff like that) I had one in a car -and I got sick. Nusea, pain sick. heart palpitation sick. I guess - mini dump. Too many carbs or fats or sugars.. well.. pitty. I know that I can't have more than 1/2 of one.

on a good note - well... there is not really one.. ...
eats:
coffee+ almond milk
2 peaches + string cheese+ peanuts
protein bar (ouch)
flax-protein muffin
protein shake
meatloaf + fresh salsa...

For sure splenda.. and other artificial sweeteners.  But I get a real bad nause with artificial flavors. (sometimes). Then there are the sakes that have proteins and artificail stuff and ... vitamins added... most of them made me sick amlmost any time I had them.  BTW - I have to be carefull when i take my vitamins - and with what.

Maybe it is a combination of too many things that my body doe snot want to deal with?

So - the more natural the shakes - the better for me.

That's pretty interesting -- which additives do think might be the culprits?
