Hi Lee,
I'm such a huge fan of In N Out, as you can probably tell!!! If you don't think you could finish the 2 patties, then just order 1 (don't know what that would be called). The other trick I have is when I order a flying dutchman I get tomatoes and/or pickles on the side. Sometimes I just don't feel like eating lettuce like in a protein style burger. They are always very accomodating!
Yes, the roasted seaweed is from TJ's...there's always something interestin at that store!

Hi Jean,
I've had Protein Style at In N Out, but had never heard of Flying Dutchman, so I went to google it. Thanks for teaching me something new!
Are you eating the roasted seaweed that Trader Joe's offers now? I recently started eating it and it's starting to grow on me.

Hi there. It's a slice, can be belly or back bacon, smoked or not. There are different ways of curing the bacon - oak smoked, maple, dry, brine, Norfolk etc. Can be wafer thin to 4-5 mm thick. Normally fried or grilled.
My only disappointment with eating when we visit the USA is those horrible little strips that you're given instead of real bacon. Lol.

Okay, Paul -- I've read this term my whole life, and I'm dying to know -- What is a RASHER? Is it a serving, or a piece?

Welcome Denise! You'll find that there are all types of WLS (and non-WLS) folks here, so you fit right in either way!
Just wanted to add ... omigosh, there is nothing like a boy calling a girl FAT to freak her out -- even for several years. It's awful that we give teenage boys that much power over our lives (especially because most of the time, the epithet is completely wrong.)

I don't know why any calculator would suggest that you have 200 gm carbs/day -- can you post a link? I don't think I've seen this before.

This way I make sure I'm getting enough of the good stuff, and limiting the wrong stuff!
(You'll want to make sure that you don't get yourself into starvation mode by eating too little! This causes the metabolism to slow, and actually REDUCES weight loss!)

Topic: Saturday CARb Accountability Roundup Thread
Hi there everyone! Welcome to the weekend! It's gorgeous and sunny here, today, and I hope that the beautiful weather is also hitting you wherever you live, too!
This is my second day of returning to strict "Induction" after having a Jordan Almonds binge last week -- Gonna have to cut back on some of my stressors, I think!
So, what does your eating look like, today?
