Hi everyone!  Hope you had a successfully low-carb, low-stress, happy-go-lucky Saturday!

Today I had:

eggs hollandaise -- I know my Creator loves me, because he motivated someone to make hollandaise ....

coffee with full cream

protein shake for coffee creamer

fried cheese with marinara

fried queso blanco ....

and delicious homemade vegetable soup from my pressure cooker .... LOVE that piece of equipment

My total was 100 calories above my expected total ... a hungrier day than usual ... but since I'm beginning induction all over again, I allowed it without too much grief.  The point right now is to get myself burning fat instead of glycogen!

Interested in low-carb nutrition?  Thinking of trying Atkins? Want to try high-fat and/or high-protein eating?  Whether or not you have had (or are thinking about) WLS   http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/

  Hi Everyone,

Beautiful day here in the Bay Area.  Had a great 3.5 mile walk this morning.  Haven't done much of anything this afternoon except eat.  I'm not happy with my eating today.  I have felt bingy all afternoon and wonder if it's because I didn't take my PPI this morning.  I've heard others talk about getting hungry much faster without it.  UGH!  Here's the good and the I can't believe I ate that!

B. 3 oz ground beef w/ 1 slice cheese
S.  protein shake
L.  5 oz shrimp w/butter and lemon
S.  DOWNFALL - 1.5 ounces of smokehouse almonds.  Done done done and sick to my Sleeve
D.  Will be Protein Pudding

ACK!!
Calories  are way too high - 1263
Protein - 126
Total Carbs - 20

What do you all do when you feel bingy?  I just concentrated on trying to not do carb damage, and made a few phone calls to friends.   I'm going to spend 30 minutes stretching and trying to align myself mindfully.  What works for you?

I count carbs, protein and calories but I do it the old fashioned way in a note book but I also have a good calorie count book that has darn near everything in it. I think with the Atkins diet you have to make sure you eat good solid protein to fill you and not waste alot of calories on softer protein like some of the cheeses that aren't as filling. Atkins allows quite a few veggies even in the induction phase. Check out their website I think you'll be surprised how many you are allowed.

Great question!  I track calories, carbs, protein and fat on myfitnesspal .com.  I like knowing what I'm ingesting.  I also track my exercise on the same site.

I have had to track everything from day 1, but I was used to it from days of dieting.

I'm particularly interested in what others have to say because so many Sleevers say to stay below 800 calories until goal.  I've had to fight for every ounce that I've shed and I'm not 11 months out and still have pounds to let go of.   Eating low carb racks up the calories faster because there are not veggies and fruit to fill me up.  I've been eating more like 9000-1100 calories a day while total carbs are well under 20 per day.  I'm still hungry a lot which shouldn't be happening on low carb.  Grrrrrr

I'm more curious about how many calories people are eating and whether they are in the losing or maintaining stage.

I'm all about the desserts...Yep, I LOVE ME A LITTLE SUMPIN SUMPIN SWEET TASTING..!

1 Cup of Greek Yogurt (PL.)
1 oz. of cream cheese (room temp)
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring (optional)
A sprinkling of lemonade flavored water mix (Crystal Light)

Mix yogurt and cream cheese (I just use a fork) add flavoring (or not) Sprinkle in the Lemonade and mix.

Spoon into Sm. champagne glasses and chill until set...Garnish, if you like, with a lemon twist or a mint leaf..

You can leave out the Lemonade mix and you will have just cheese cake..
You can also use a Tbl. spoon of Peanut butter and you have peanut Butter pie..sprinkle chopped p-nuts over the top..
