I could never do a just meat and fat diet.  THAT would make me nauseous.  Of all of  three, fats, carbs and protein, fat is always the highest percentage of my total daily intake.  I would find it very difficult on a low carb diet to severely limit fats.   I do try to keep them in moderations though.

Very few people evolved on the Inuit diet and I don't think very many of us would trive on that kind of diet.  I could no more do that kind of diet than I could do a low fat diet.

I need to go buy that book today.

It's the snack thing that really sucks about low carb!!!  I can do a low carb meal just fine, but when I want a snack, I don't usually think of a hard boiled egg.  But you are right about the head hunger thing.  When you are truly hungry, a hard boiled egg sounds pretty good.

The sad thing about adkins is the fact that all of the butter, cream cheese and cheese one can have, tastes so much better with some bread, crackers or potatoes to hold them up!!

I have to concur with everyone else.  Processed meats are taboo for those *****tain water.  In some sensitive folks, sugar alcohols trigger insulin as though it were real sugar.

Double the daily dose of benefiber helps clear the way for me.  In your position, I'd try lower carb unsweetened almond milk; zero carb liquid sucralose sweetener;  limiting or eliminating cheese; and getting my carbs from green leafy vegetables.  That should allow you to cut the carbs and still go.

As you begin low carbing you release excess fluid.  Many people routinely drink a gallon a day post op.  Your thirst should become more manageable as your system adjusts.   I love my thirsty days.  I envision the fat being flushed away as I go.

I made several bad moves so I'm mad at myself since there is no one to take it out on.   I'll just kick the imaginary dog.

Fat ratio under 50% of total calories two days in a row
Both my high cal days for the week back to back
Carbs over induction two days in a row
Just half my workout done, the lower calorie burn half

That is enough for me to gain and even keep on gaining despite getting back on track.  I know better than to screw up twice in one week and consecutive days at that.  Today I'm doing it right.  Plus I will get some extra calorie burn in this weekend.
