Oy, Girl Scout Cookies are evil, wrapped in cuteness.  The ultimate Big Bad Wolf food, ehhh?

Glad today was better!!!

Tomorrow I will have:

Bacon and eggs
2 Atkins bars
Sausage and stilton
2 ozs cheese
2 packets Ryvita Minis
Coffee and fruit teas.

At the moment I seem to be losing and gaining the same 4 pounds, no matter how much walking I do.  Will talk to my GP tomorrow....  Will post a 1st Surgiversary photo sometime this week....

First and foremost, congrats on your weight loss!  H

Have you gotten any fills?  My doctor told me if I can eat 2 enchaladas instead of one or I can eat more than a cup of food at time, then it is time for me to come in and get a fill.
Exercise is key, if you eat more of anything then you need to work some of it off.  The best way I have found to re-introduce carbs is to do so slowly and at the right time; after any work out I eat protein & carbs.  I try to work out before breakfast, lunch, and dinner and then eat.

My name is Dee, 61 years old, 5'1".  I have been on just about every diet created and taken every pill I could find.   I have dieted even when I did not need to diet because  I always saw myself as heavy.  In September 2008 I gave myself the gift of the VSG.  Best thing I have ever done.  I quickly went from 208 lbs to 128 lbs and held there until this past year.  From Thanksgiving thru New Years I gave myself permission to eat anything and everything I had ever wanted to eat through the holidays but never had been able to do.  It was a wonderful 2 months of eating joy but also a very big mistake.  I foolishly thought it would just come right back off like it did in the beginning.....WRONG.  It is a struggle now.  Since my surgery I have follow the Somersize plan with the food combining.  I am still do this but since it is so similar to the Atkins plan, I was thrilled to find this group.  I enjoy reading your menus and getting ideas and inspiration from you posts.  I look forward to being a part of this group.

Had a perfect low-carb day yesterday until I got home last night....The dreaded Girl Scout cookies!   I had one or two or more.  Scale stayed the same this morning...Whew!  I am starting over today.

B:  2 fried eggs; later 2 cups decaf coffee (plain) and unsweetened iced tea
S:  2 oz cheese
L:  3 oz of chicken cheesecake (something I had never had but good) small salad with wine/cheese dressing
S:  2 oz cheese
D:  Grilled chicken stir fry
S:  protein hot chocolate (in place of GS cookies)

Lots of water.

The Chicken Cheesecake was cream cheese, parm cheese, chicken, red/green peppers, onion, and roasted garlic.  I would prefer they had cut back on the roasted garlic a little, it came through very strong.

Topic: RE: How Has Low-Carbing Worked for You, So Far This Year?
I have a fantastic WW leader.  I actually rejoined last fall when i saw that he's now doing 1 meeting a week and it's less than a mile walk from my house. I like him because he always deals with the head/heart/stomach connection and why we eat when we do.  What are we really eating about.   Perfect.  I wi**** was a morning meeting but 6pm on Monday night works well for me.

I'm not really following their plan per se,  I use myfitnesspal to track protein etc, but I'm thinking of switching over to a low carb version of their new plan when I get closer to goal.

Sleevie still sick.  Threw up last two days, even simple things like chicken breast.  Last night I ate chinese soup with a few wontons.  Not low carb but it stayed down.  I really wanted cream of wheat but didn't go there... nope, not me.

Twice Baked Cauliflower
(6 servings, recipe adapted slightly from The Low Carb Gourmet.)

1 large head cauliflower
4 oz. low fat cream cheese (do not use fat free)
1 T butter (optional, original recipe called for 2 T and next time I would leave out the butter)
1/2 cup low fat sour cream (do not use fat free)
1/4 cup minced green onions
1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
6 slices bacon, cooked very crisp and crumbled
1 cup reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese
(I used Kraft 2% milk sharp cheddar)

Preheat oven to 350 F. Cut out stem and core from cauliflower, and cut into small pieces. Cook in large pot of boiling water until cauliflower is tender, but not overly soft. Drain well and mash with potato masher, leaving some chunks. Mix in cream cheese, butter (if using), sour cream, green onion, Parmesan, and 3/4 of the bacon.

Spread evenly in an 8 X 8 inch glass casserole dish. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and reserved bacon. Bake 30-35 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

South Beach and Low Glycemic Suggestions:
Even with less fat due to low fat cheese, cream cheese, and sour cream, less bacon, and no butter, this recipe should be a "once-in-a-while" treat for the South Beach Diet since all the fat is saturated fat. Serve it with lower fat dishes such as Grilled Tuna with Cherry Tomato Salsa. Cauliflower is very low on the glycemic index, and should be a good choice for any low-glycemic eating plan.

I did know they were there :)  But as long as I keep my daily intake low, I figure I can handle them--for now!

Eggface's blog is the best!  I've gotten so many ideas from her, and I'm going to go today and buy some sf syrup for my protein shake so I can try some of her shake recipes.
