This is one area where I think personal exprience with your reactions will come into play.  Start with the rules of the lc plan you perfer then adjust your method as your body responds or fails to respond.  Lets face it, if the anals of popular metabolic knowledge were accurate then calories in vs calories out would work for every one even on a diet of tater tots.  Even a consensus woul not hold for everyone.

I count all carbs for my percentage of total calories.  Total carbs minus fiber, minus sugar alcohols, minus other non digestibles (like in dreamfields pasts) for my net carb calculation.   The debate goes on but why do I care as long as my method works for me?  I've monitored my diet for decades so I know my way is fine through trial and error.

Sugar alcohols get deducted because they make no difference to me physically.  I do not have indications of spikes in blood sugar no matter how much I eat.  I add one carb for each packet of 0 carb granular splenda I use.  The carbs as fillers in this and equal matter for me physically.  Same with sf drink mixes.

Track your foods and weight loss and see how you respond to various types of carbs.  Over time you will know what you can get away with excluding from your net carbs.

I've never seen a site (or page) devoted to this plan.  As far as I know its as you said, a variation of the slimfast diet concept.  I think any lc shake should do.

Halthy n fit nutritionals egg protein is zero carb.  Inexpensive bodyfortress is under 5g per scoop.  A dinner with enough dense protein to fill you, a little veg for variety, and enough fat to keep you burning fat should be simple enough.

I sometimes need to lean towards the liquids to keep my appetite in check.  My concern would be ensuring I got enough nutrition to avoid slowing down my metabolism.  With sufficient calories and fats you can do ok.  I can't speak on how it impacts weight loss.  Personally liquids have no wl bonus for me.

Topic: RE: CARb Accountability Thread -- Weekend Edition!!!
It's been awhile since I've been online.  Bought lots of veg so carbs will rise but I need the variety right now.

Update:
My day is definetly not lc.  Offending foods are in italics.  They more than double a normal 'high' carb day for me once you include my usual veg.  Its well past my limit in % of total calories and in grams.

roast beef, green beans, almond milk mocha

1/3 serv applebees riblet basket (meat only), pork shoulder blade roast, spinach, green beans, almond milk cocoa

apple, pear, plain popcorn, decaf sf sweet tea

dinner likely a chicken breast cause its already cooked but I'll hold off on the veg and be daring with some ff cottage cheese served with benadryl and an asthma inhaler, lol.  I still need another quart to get my liquids down.

Here's where I should land for Sunday:

   Fat(g)    Carbs(g)    Net C(g)    Prot(g)    KCals
     40.25      UGLY! 135.16      UGLIER! 104.04      104.17       1263

Carbohydrate (42%)
UGLIEST!

Fat (29%)

 Protein (29%)
Carbohydrates, 135.16g (42%) Fat, 40.25g (29%) Protein, 104.17g (29%)

I will not eat all my calories for the day but that won't save me from the scale in the morning.  This many carbs will be waiting to show its @$$ bright and early unless I run h210k tonight.  Not going to happen.

I make protein balls and keep them in the freezer...

Peanut butter
Chocolate protein powder

+

Whey crisps, chocolate flavor
or
Chopped nuts
or
unsweetened coconut

+

sweetener to taste (I often don't use any at all)\

Mix it all thoroughly, add some water if it is too dry to form into balls.

I make walnut sized balls and these are filling and totally scratch that cookie/candy itch. I like them best when the beanut butter is a bit salty - yummy salty sweet flavor.

My kids and I love this recipe for Chocolate Mousse:

1 pint heavy whipping cream
4 Tbls Cocoa powder
2/3 c splenda (you could also use the equivalent liquid concentrate sucralose - no carbs)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

combine all ingredients and whip at high speed until whip cream is formed.
it's great if you're craving something sweet and chocolatey.
You could also mix in some PB2 or use chocolate PB2 instead of cocoa.

My favourite sweet and and salty treat is:

Bacon puffs/rinds
Add melted butter on top, sprinkle with sugar substitute.  (sometimes I use Splenda, some times Stevia)
Add cinnamon and shake all the ingreds together.

So yummy!  It's high fat but very low carb and I find a few fill me up.

Cant recall where I saw it basically I know slim fast had something like this years ago where you
Drink a slim fast shake for breakfast and lunch and have a sensible dinner.  For Low Carbers it would be a LC shake for Break/Lunch and a LC Meal for dinner..

Band date/weight= Dec 13, 05/ 320 lbs
