Amy, I'm very sorry about your loss. Lisa is right about the many reasons that you might be feeling so bad.  My only advice is to stick to the basics of your program as much as possible.  Protein first to fill you up, hydrate, sleep as much as possible and get out there and take some walks to help soothe you.  Ask friends and family to come walk with you if that would work for you.

sending hugs and prayers for the healing of your family

Hope things pick up for you soon...

My vsg doesn't like vegetables.  I can eat mushrooms, onions and nuts in small quantities.  What I post is what I eat - I really miss a good salad (with blue cheese and ham etc...)

2 rashers bacon with a scrambled egg
2 Atkins bars
2 lamb and stilton patties
stilton butter with 4 Ryvita
2 ozs gammon
Coffee and fruit teas.

This is my Friday as Janice is away on a training course for the rest of the week.  Need to look after the brat

Yesterday a poster asked me, Hey WhackaMole -- where are all your veggie carbs?!?!

I think that when we post on the CARb threads that we tend to focus on where our protein is coming from, and we don't mention our veggies very much -- probably a mistake.  So I'm going to make more of a point of posting where my veggie carbs are coming from.

Today:

B:  eggs hollandaise with asparagus and spinach
      coffee with full cream
S:  low-carb peanut butter cookies
L:  fried turkey pastrami with onions and peppers
S:  kefir, possibly with bananas or mango
D:  animal style burger with tomatoes, lettuce, and aguacate

Howabout y'all?

Lisa

Trying to get through the night without attacking the fruit.  Ratios are not where I want them with carbs over 25%.  However, net carbs are near enough to 50g.  I left calories on the table that could have been used for protein and fats.  Had I added a good protein snack those carbs would have fallen in line.

Here it is for Tuesday:

     Fat(g)      Carbs(g)      Net C(g)      Prot(g)      KCals
56.66 78.19 51.06 101.80 1125

  Fat (45%)
  Protein (27%)
Carbohydrates, 78.19g (28%) Fat, 56.66g (45%) Protein, 101.8g (27%)

Today's eats:
cocoa w/ almond milk, beef bottom round with mushrooms and onions, lc tortilla with smart balance light

cocoa w/ almond milk, roasted pork shoulder blade chop w/ chipolte salsa

A great baked cheese brand called, "Just the cheese" I get on amazon.com

Also I like pecans, soy nuts and  natural peanut butter

Hope this helps
