It's only the middle of the weekend folks!

3 scrambled eggs and 2 ozs cheese
Chicken leg and sausage/chestnut balls
2 Atkins bars
Don't know what I'll have for tea yet...
Coffee and tea.

Yesterday I managed to keep a small salad down!  Lettuce, toms and grated carrot with some carb-free blue cheese sauce with grilled bacon.  RESULT!!!!

It's raining here, but later today I'll be attending my art class and painting naked ladies.  On Tuesday I'll book my residential courses for next year - Chinese Brush Painting Portraiture and Life Drawing in Chinese Brush Painting - yet more naked ladies!  Is there a theme here??

Paul and naked ladies -- what a surprise!!!

What are residential courses?  (Chinese brush painting of nekked ladies?  I was expecting mere landscape!)

Okay, yesterday's haul:

B:  3 poached eggs, coffee with cream
S:  homemade yogurt cheese Mmmmmmmmmm
L:  the top of a piece of pizza, and a piece of birthday cake (youngest child's)
D:  Indian food, impossible to name, but no bread, so I guess I'm ahead of things?
S: wedding anniversary dinner -- livers sauteed in merlot, seared peppers, a glass of wine, and a taste of a passion-fruit dessert that was gorgeous to look at, delicious in the mouth, but couldn't eat more -- could barely sit up after most of a glass of wine!

I'm down about five pounds from two weeks ago and feeling much better since I added carbs back

Residential courses are tutored courses where accommodation and food are included.  I generally start with weekend courses which runs from a Friday afternoon to a Sunday teatime.  If I enjoy the subject then I sign up for a week, running from Sunday afternoon to the Friday teatime (strangely enough!)  Over the last ten years I've taken:  Fly Fishing and Fly Tying; beginner's Bridge; photo manipulation; Chinese Brush Painting; Watercolour for beginners; Portraiture; and earlier this year, Life Drawing and  Life Painting.  In December I have a course booked on 'Painting Oil Portraits from Photographs'.  I really enjoy the freedom of Chinese Brush Painting, but flowers and landscapes don't do it for me.  Funnily enough I enjoy drawing and painting nekked ladies!

Janice has taken courses in:   Beginner's Bridge, Bird Watching and Cross Stitch.

Great news that you're feeling better better and have lost weight.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

Well that's interesting -- Do you and Janice ever sign up for courses together?

I just added a bird feeder to the back yard outside my family room window.  It was very entertaining watchin the birds that ate from the feeder, the birds that jiggled the feeder to make seeds drop for other birds, the squirrels that came in for sloppy seconds, the dog casually observing it all, and the cat salivating at the window.

The whole thing made me much more aware of the wild birds in our community.  Last Friday I saw a giant green parrot flying through the trees outside of the school where I teach; and also a huge double-crested cormorant.  Last night at a play downtown, we saw a pair of mallard ducks looking confused about why there were a bunch of people around their watering hole (the reflecting pond).  So I have to say, I appreciate her appreciation of bird watching!

We went on the Bridge course together, and Janice used to Cross Stitch while I was Fly Fishing.  She has now joined the Swansea Astronomical Society and wants a telescope for Christmas.  We sit in our Conservatory and watch the birds come to feed.  Nothing as exotic as you, but we do see some interesting winter migrants on Talley Lakes.

Tuesday eats:

3 boiled eggs
6 ozs home made burger with 2 Tsps sweetcorn
2 Ryvitas with 2 light cheese triangles
Chicken for tea, with tomatoes
2 Atkins bars
Coffee and tea.
