Induction Seduction: Having Trouble Saying No to Quick WL

Ever found yourself enjoying really, really rapid weight loss during Induction, and been reluctant to add a few carbs here and there just to slow it down?

I've been eight days back on Induction .... carbs at about 40 grams net (for me this is really low).  With the help of a 24 hour flu, I managed to lose seven pounds.  Feeling like crud, the usual Induction Flu ... but very gratified at the scale, and in my closet (as things begin to fit as they should.)

I'm pretty experienced with Atkins -- been doing it off and on for over a decae -- but here I am, having trouble getting myself to stop the rapid weight loss.  I know it's not good, I know I don't feel well because it's so fast, but ... unwilling to let it go.

I should go on to long term weight loss.  No one can saetly and healthfully stick to rebven pounds a week, and I know that .... after all I'd vanish in no time at all.  But .... It sure is hard to add a few crackers here and there, or more fruit, because it's so rewarding to see the weight loss fall off.

Has this happened to you?

I am at my final goal and I have been thinking about how different it will be to not be motivated by weight loss.  For the last 10 months it is almost like Christmas morning when I wake up and check the scale and see that I have lost.  Now I don't really want to lose any more.  My motivation will have to be seeing things stay the same.  I can see how people get addicted to weight loss.

It was hard for me to gain back some weight.  I knew I needed it.  But it took me a while to gain back 10 lbs. Unfortunately - the gain did not stop there.. I gained additional 15 lbs ... that now I want to get rid off...
I was addicted to wight loss and it was really hard for me give that up.

I thing the fear was - and it manifested itself... to lose control over my weight. And to gain more than I wanted - needed.

I know I need to go back to losing again.  This weekend, next week and weekend - there is no way I can do it. (I will be traveling - so ...close to impossible).
But I plan to stay on low carb (60-70 carbs - with 40 net) diet ...as long as my body allows me to do that (some days - I need more carbs or my BS is crashing).

I'm not at goal yet, I don't think.  I'd like to lose anther 5-10 lbs to have some bounce back room.  I've been staying around 20-30 net carbs (taking out only fiber) since around Feb and I certainly haven't lost 7 lbs in a week, more like 2 as a highest.  My carbs come mainly from fresh veggies and dairy.  Of course I admit to an occasional cracker or chocolate, but that is very rare.  Maybe mine is slower because it is a more steady level of carbs instead of a big drop?

I only wish!  I have not seen quick weight loss since myearly teens and I'm rapidly slamming into my half century mark.

I'm all for quick weight loss unless you tend to go hog wild after reaching your goal.  If you have difficulty going into maintenance without going overboard, I say slow it down so you become accustomed to what you need to do to maintain.  Otherwise, I'd just enjoy the results.
