Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
Sheesh!
So for the past week, I've eaten carbs a little too liberally. A bite here, a bite there....oh this little bit will be okay....
And now I feel like poo....
Oddly enough, I haven't gained any weight...haven't lost any either.
I do have a question, is anyone worried about stretching out their pouch?
For example, 6 months ago I could only eat half of a grilled chicken breast from B.K.....now I can eat the whole thing...granted it takes me 45 minutes and I chew thoroughly.
But yeah....just curious.

Well -- good news and bad news!
First the good news (that's always best anyway...)
Sorry you "feel like poo" after carbing out, but the good news here is that you know how to stop feeling like poo (back to lower carb eating) AND, since you didn't gain weight, you are very likely to see some weight loss when you revert to low-carbing!!! Win-win!
Now the not-so-good-news ...
Probably you did not stretch out your pouch, rather you have learned how to eat around its limitations. 45 minutes is a long time to eat a steak. Now, eating steak is great! the problem might come later when you learn to take your time eating less-healthy fare (which regrettably is sometimes my own downfall).
Hope this helps!

Interested in low-carb nutrition? Thinking of trying Atkins? Want to try high-fat and/or high-protein eating? Whether or not you have had (or are thinking about) WLS http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/
Blah! I don't like the sound of that! 'Eating around the pouch'
Yeah....I admit it...I am a carb addict....I can't stop at just one little thing!
And truly, now that I look at my food journal from this past week...it's mostly carbs....and I've had no energy for about a week.
It's crazy how one can eat carbs and still be hungry for more.
I love protein!
Looks like it's induction time again!
Thanks Whack a doodle!
