This is what I ate today. And this is why I'm here...

1 cup of raisin bran with skim milk
handful of cheeze-its
a banana
1/2 cup of beans
a cadberry creme egg
another handful of cheeze-its
another cadberry creme egg!!
small piece of chicken breast
a couple bites of mashed potatoes

UGH!! And I'm only 8 months out from surgery!!! I'm disgusted, upset, and SCARED!!! Not to mention just feel like crap physically right now. :(

I will start making better choices. Starting now. Thank you for creating this group. ~Christy

I had to laugh, I'm so sorry!  Every one of us has had days like this.  Gosh, I've had MONTHS like this!

(To tell you the truth, I really hope the Cadbury Creme Egg was yummy -- If you're gonna eat carbs, I always say make it something WONDERFUL!)

So .... you're not exactly asking for advice, but I'm a-gonna offer it!  Get some protein into yourself, first thing in the morning, m'dear!  It really helps set the stage for better things later on.

AND .... okay, look -- I love every single thing on your list.  Without exception.  The Cheez-Its are demonic.  I swear they're demonic.  Positively evil.  Especially (if you ever happen to see them) the Parmesan Duos .... OMG OMG OMG!

Soooooooooo .....  This recipe was posted by MSW Will Not Settle, and I have some of these no-carb crackers EVERY DAY!  Someone today mentioned adding almond meal, and I'm giving that a shot next time:

My friend MsdMartitalinda shared this really easy snack recipe.

PARMESAN CRISPS

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 Cup grated Parmesan

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat over to 400
Pour a heaping tablespoon of Parmesan onto a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet and lightly pat down. A silicone baking sheet is highly recommended. Repeat with the remaining cheese, spacing the spoonfuls about a 1/2 inch apart.

Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden and crisp. Cool.

Thank you for the advice and recipe. You're right about the cheeze-its. Absolutely evil!!! They are one of the foods that as a preteen made me obese. I LOVE cheese!! I will def make the parmesan chips when the urge strikes. I have had much success with low carb in the past, so I know what I need to do. And I will do it. Have a great day! ~Christy BTW, all the cheeze-its and creme eggs are gone. I will be victorious today!
