Decarbing - liquid diet for a few days... want to join me?

I am going to have colonoskopy next Friday. So that gave me idea to do a real cleanse, and decarb and lose these pesky 5-10 lbs that does not want to go.  (it does not bother me too much... but most of my clothes are really tight and some will not fit)

Need to decarb again... I will have to be on liquids for a few days next week (colonoskopy) so I think I gave myself "permission" to eat more... feeling sorry for myself at what is going to happen...  I am OK, but at the same time, the RH may be a bit of a problem...
But I can drink clear liquids... and just for reasons like that I have some Isopure in my house. Don't love it, but it will do.

I am planing to eat light the next few days and start my cleanse on Monday...
Lost of good herbs (teas), some magnesium to start flushing things out, some fiber to help things moving, herbals teas for the liver and the kidneys... etc...
Some extra vitamins, and I should be OK.

Hi Hala,

Just wanted to wish you all the best with your colonoscopy.  I have not had one but know people who have, and it seems the prep is the worst part of it.  I also have RH and would be equally concerned about the cleaar liquids.

I also empathize with you about those pesky 5 to 10 lbs.  I have gained 10 lbs from my low weight and I am 5 lbs above my goal weight.  I'm working on losing those 5 lbs.  You would think after all the weight we've lost that losing a few pounds wouldn't be so hard..... but it is!!!!  Now that the "honeymoon" is over, this maintenance thing is hard.

thanks... will let you know how it went... thankfully my doc gave me pills and not the drinks...
The pills were fricking expensive... ouch...but as long as they work.. no point of trying to drink the "nasties" while gaging and ... lol...

I have started the 5 day pouch test today. I feel like I have strayed from where I need to be with my carbs. This looks like a really good way to get back in touch and back on track. I forget how hard two days of liquids can be. But soft protein will be soo welcomed soon!
