Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
Chocolate: Do You Have Some Every Day?
A couple of days ago, we started a COFFEE conversation. Do you ever read the CARb Accountability Roundup threads? I hardly ever read one that doesn't list some form of COFFEE!!!
Now, I want to ask about the role of CHOCOLATE in your low (or lower) carb way of eating. It is a very rare day, indeed, that I don't have chocolate in SOME form, SOME how. And I noticed that almost every other CARb thread poster usually lists at least a little of some form of chocolate, too.
So howabout it, folks -- Are you finding a way to indulge your CHOCOLATE habit while low-carbing it?

Here are some of the chocolate (or chocolatey) things I am likely to eat on a typical low-carb day:
1) Fox's UBet Sugar-Free Chocolate Syrup
2) Chocolate protein shakes of various kinds (I happen to like Dymatize)
3) SF Chocolate bars from Trader Joe's
4) Occasionally REAL chocolate bars, from ... wherever!
5) regular low-carb recipes infused with cocoa powder
6) Mole (pronounced Moh Lay, a Mexican savory sauce)
7) Chocolate/cocoa infused coffee
... I could add more, but why? I never skip the chocolate!
(On special occasions, SF chocolate mousse .... oh my!)

Today I had a Wonderslim Raspberry Hot Cocoa and also a Bodytech Dutch Chocolate protein pudding. So there's my chocolate flavors. I used to get a dark chocolate organic bar and break it into 12 squares, eating 1 or 2 squares a week. I quit doing that when my weight loss came to a halt. Maybe someday again.
If I'm really jonesing for chocolate I might take a tablespoon of cream cheese and put some splenda and cocoa (Dragoba or Ghiradelli) into it for a spoon of chocolate delight.

My protein shakes are all chocolate in some form or another. I also have the cocoa dusted almonds in the 100 calorie packs quite frequently.
I don't drink coffee, but if I ever do, it's gotta have chocolate in it!
That's a great idea with the spenda and cream cheese. I am going to have to go and buy some
cocoa powder now.

I do get chocolate... Not every day... but a lot of days... some it is a form of my chocolate flavored proteins... some it is just that - chocolate... either 90% or 85% or some 75%... I don't go lower than that... But I have so much chocolate in my house... and since I can have as much as I want (the right kind - 85 or 90%) I really do not want it as much... Funny how our body changes... I also have other chocolate in my house - milk chocolate... but with RH - I know better than to have that... have my butt whipped a few times when I try to have that... I do hate the low BS symptoms with passion... I do almost anything to avoid the low BS ...

My chocolate fix is in the form of my daily protein shake, chocolate sugar-free soymilk, and sugar-free Russell Stover chocolates (trying to cut back on the Russell Stover - eating too many of those lately). :)
