In the AM, I have six cups -- I mean, the pot says it's six cups -- of coffee. I usually use it as a vehicle for some combination of Splenda, full or half-cream, Fox's sugar-free chocolate syrup, and/or evaporated full-fat milk.
When I get to work, I usually follow-up with another 6-cup pot of decaf.
Now and then I switch over a few cups of tea -- but don't care for it that much.
What's interesting to me is, when I was a little girl my dad would drink a cup of coffee out of a coffee cup -- a real coffee cup, with a saucer. And about six ounces WAS a cup. We had a creamer, and a sugar bowl, and it was a relaxed but somewhat formal presentation.
Now we drink out of super-sized containers -- MUGS, or vente, grande, whatever .... and our concept of a serving of coffee is totally lost.
I never once saw my daddy put anything into his coffee but full cream or plain sugar.

Hi, my name is Celeste and I am a coffee addict . . (first you have to admit the problem).
Pre-WLS, I didn't drink as much, but now, yes, same as you I probably end up having a half a pot a day.
Usually two large cups first thing in the a.m. when I get to work, with splenda or truvia (2 packs) and sugarfree hazelnut creamer, oh and sprinkle of cinammon - yummy. If I don't have the SF hazelnut creamer (or if it wasn't on sale - I know frugal) . . . I will use the SF syrups from the 99 cent store and half and half.
Then, if there is still some left in the pot after lunch (and my half-hour post eating wait), I will make a cup of "iced" coffee with the same ingredients - YUMMY.
If there is still some left over at home when I get home, I MIGHT have another, but usually just the three large cups (which probably equates to 6 cups).
If I don't have at least 2, I end up waking up in the middle of the night with a headache, so I "HAVE TO HAVE" the coffee or I will get a headache, and we really don't want that - ahahahah.
I usually don't go anywhere else for my coffee - the cost upsets me, but if I have received a gift card to that lovely little place, I will spend it there - frugally, iced coffee with plenty of room for cream.
MMMM M. Well, I will now go make me an iced coffee - the power of suggestion!

I am a coffee lover since childhood. My habit was a pot a day but now its just a cup or two and most often decaf. Generally black but I often make mocha with instant coffee and unsweetened cocoa powder, with or without unswetened almond milk. Then there is my large expresso or an almond milk latte or cafe aulette. I enjoy my coffee many differrent ways. When I'm out its a soy latte or an americano or a double shot of espresso. I can get it, sf chai tea soy latte with a double shot of espresso.

LV'N MY RNY. WORKING FOR ME BECAUSE I WORK FOR IT.
I drink coffee all day everyday! I will drink any way except black w/sweetner. I start my day with a regular coffee (approximately 20 oz) w/creamer and sweetner. There after I try to have just decaf and will drink it black or with creamer or with creamer and sweetner. I have a keurig at home, at work and one to take if traveling.
It is a real addiction for me. The only reason I have decaf is because caffeine really bothers by fibristic cysts and it has shown a real difference in my mamograms.
I can drink regular coffe up to bedtime and still not disturb my sleep.

I have been a hard core coffee addict for some time. Prior to my surgery it was nothing for me to drink a few large iced coffees or iced lattes, a large frappacino or McDonald's frappe, a pot at home. I was always drinking it. I also suffered from anxiety attacks and panic attacks. After my surgery I had to quit cold turkey. I also noticed my anxiety was a lot better. After a few weeks my NUT told me I could have 2 cups of coffee a day so I did, measuring out 16 oz into my big mug and adding protein to it. And my anxiety got worse. I finally put 2 and 2 together and figured out that the caffiene was not helping my anxiety so I gave it up again and I haven't had to take a xanax since, about 6 months now. I don't think it's a coincidence. But I really miss it. I do drink decaf but as my daughter says what's the point? I have been considering trying a cup to see how I would react now but I'm afraid of having another panic attack. This is the longest I have gone without one.

I have a protein coffee in my huge travel mug every morning on my way to my store. I make a thick creamer style protein slurry with heavy cream, sf caramel torani syrup and 1 scoop anywhey unflavoured protein powder, mix it all in my blender ball cup and pour into my brewed coffee and stir. In the winter I use cinnamon dolce sf syrup too!!
This has 25g protein and it tastes like an indulgent latte!!

Had a band in 2005 at 280lbs, had band removed and DS done on Jan 22nd 08 at 220lbs in Spain, now 135lbs and a size 4!! Happy as a Clam!!Dontcha love the DS? It's the best tool around!!
I LOVE coffee but rarely drink it. Sometimes on the weekend I'll brew a cup of decaf. My surgeon keeps telling me no caffiene. I do indulge in a cup of Earl Grey every morning, then switch to either decaf tea or herbal tea for the rest of the day. I have a difficult enough time going to sleep at night after a cup of caffiene tea at 6am, more would kill me.
I tried to love the protein decaf coffee but had to spit it out. I just can't hang with any sort of sweetener in my coffee. :(
