I have been enjoying MartitaLinda's Cheese Crackers, and last night made half a pound of them. I had been trying to make them for years, but didn't know I was to use the grated (not ground and powdered Kraft stuff) parmesan. MMMMMMMMMMmmmm

My Low-Carb Maintenance Plan for today:

B: ML's Cheese Crackers with cream cheese and smoked salmon
S: eggs with hollandaise and asparagus
L: kefir
S: pickled herring in sour cream
D: wine, egg bread, baked chicken, baba ganoush, vegetable soup, chicken, spaghetti squash, green beans, and possibly (drum roll) a poppy-seed cookie

And you?

BTW-- Here is the recipe for these Cheese Crisps / Crackers

PARMESAN CRISPS

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 Cup grated Parmesan

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat over to 400
Pour a heaping tablespoon of Parmesan onto a silicone or parchment lined baking sheet and lightly pat down. A silicone baking sheet is highly recommended. Repeat with the remaining cheese, spacing the spoonfuls about a 1/2 inch apart.

Bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until golden and crisp. Cool.

yuummmmmmmyyyyyyyyyyy ..... MINDFUL OF HOW MAY CRISPS ONE EATS THIS IS A DELICIOUS TREAT ...

THIS IS AN APPROXIMATE CALORIE COUNT...

Calories 108 Fat 7.16g Carbs 1.02g Protein 9.62g
There are 108 calories in 1 serving of Parmesan Chips.

I love them as an occasional chip snack...
They look like this...

 Happy Friday Everyone!

I am wrapping up my day here on the east coast while you west coast people are enjoying your late afternoon.

Today was a really odd day for me.  Our temps got up to the mid 80's and beautifully sunny.  But I have felt down and nauseous for most of the afternoon.  Smells especially bothered me today.

That;s a lotta coffee!  I also am a big coffee drinker, and I've always marvelled that a lot of very successful WLSers have a big coffee habit.  Do you think there's anything to that?  These threads, too, are often rife with people listing coffee, mocha, chocolate .... repeat.

Lisa,

I do drink a LOT of coffee.  It is like I crave it.  I can be black, w/cream, with cream and sweetner, regular or decaf.  I love it all.  When I try to tone it down some, I seem to crave it even more.  Although I was always a coffee drinker pre-op it is really my biggiest vice post op.

I haven't reached my goal by about 75 -80 lbs and am 4 years out tomorrow.  I am hoping to jump start my loss and to reach goal.  Yesterday I was feeling ill and this morning when I took my blood pressure it was so low it was no wonder I was dizzy and nauseous.

No dinner yet but I'd have to work hard to screw today up.  Ratios look really good for higher fat/ low carb; net carbs well in range; and protein on the mark.  Calories on point as well.

Ohhhhhhhhh,  ok!  I have been making those for several years.  I like to add things like oregano to them or other spices to change up the flavors.  I make mine in the microwave on a plate, only because i'm lazy!  :)

Thanks for posting Lisa!!

Hi,

I feel like I eat so much more than everyone, but maybe I just have more variety?

Anyhow, here's my eats for the day.  I think I was hungrier today because I ate so little with my irritated Sleevie yesterday.

1 egg w/ .5 oz cheese
1/2 cup cottage cheese
protein pudding - it was a free sample with bariatric vitamins.  I think it was Wonderslim.  YUCK. Like Bodytech Dutch Chocolate Protein pudding 100% better.
macadamia nuts
salmon
green beans w/slivered almonds

Protein - 65
