'Kay, y'all .... You know what to do here!

I'm having serious trouble beating back the blues this week.  My personal schedule changed drastically because a child's injuries are keeping me home, and while I'm grateful to be able to take care of him, I miss the constant movement and the drive I usually get to enjoy at work.  Not to mention the lost income and the anxiety over my kid's well-being.  So ... since I can't get OUT to exercise, and can't cake-dive, what suggestions do you have about overcoming situational depression?

My flexible food plan for the day:

B:  coffee, spinach, eggs, hollandaise, lox
S:  dunno
L:  blah, who cares
S:  whatevah
D:  The first thing I find in the freezer, I'll thaw, and that's dinner.

Whine, whine, whine.

What are YOU eating?

Good low carb day so far.
Coffee+ proteins
cheese + cucumbers
coffee+ almond milk
more cheese and cucs
yogurt + protein + blueberries + flax
sunflower seeds
1/2 Greens whey krisp bar
D: chicken + peppers baked stuff..

so far 41 gr of carbs, with 16 gr fiber, = 25 net carbs.

As long as I get the chicken + the peppers I may end up with a good 35g net carbs... or only 30...Too many calories... but not too bad... still within limits..

Situational depression I do a few things:

1.) Pray (this helps me)

2.) I do in home walking *Leslie Sansone* it keeps me moving and helps boost my mood
*here is a link to a free 1-mile walk!!*
http://www.walkathome.com/on-demand/1-mile_express.html

3.) Journal-this helps me get things out on paper, my feelings, random thoughts etc  I'm very visual and this helps a lot

4.) Get on here and just vent, the support on here rocks!

Hope this helps
LOTS of love your way,

Finally off my 2 days of liquids - yipee!!!

B - Atkins shake
S - Slice of ham
L - Tuna salad on bed of lettuce - made with 1/2 mayo and 1/2 LC yogurt
S - Sliced roast beef
D - Not there yet, but probable egg salad on lettuce.
Dinner turned out to be Blackened Skinny Chix nuggets - Yum!

Whack - if you like to read, you could curl up with a good juicy novel... if you have animals, you could get down on the floor and play with them... if you have a punching bag, you could really take out some aggression!

Hope tomorrow is better for you and your child!

Lisa, sorry you had such a tough day!

I was hungry all day! I was also really tired all day.   I think it's coming off the fruit, or else I'm fighting off what everyone in my office has.  Hopefully it's the fruit detox.

I ate a lot today but the calories weren't bad and the carbs were good!

2 oz Harris Ranch Tri Tip
1/2 cup homemade chicken salad
4 oz Costco Cilantro Lime Shrimp
1 string cheese
1/2 cup cauliflower
1 oz Cabot's aged cheddar
2 T cream cheese
4 oz cucumber w/1 T sour cream & lemon juice

Protein - 79

I could do with some whine myself but I'm not going to go there.  Its already messing with me.

Almost hit my carb plan tonite but I'm going to need to do a little adjusting if I want to keep carbs under 25% total calories.  Net carbs stay on track fairly easy.

Tuesday
     Fat(g)      Carbs(g)      Net C(g)      Prot(g)      KCals
60.98 89.17 20.47 153.45 1400

Carbohydrate (26%)
  Fat (39%)
  Protein (35%)

2 protein bars
pork loin
mocha, pork loin, spinach salad
protein bar, flavored water
tuna salad, lc flat bread
pork loin
pork loin, iced tea

I grazed all day (naughty) but calories are on plan.  There are just 130 calories in 4 oz of lean loin of pork.
