Atkins bars, the low protein candy type were my main nutrition today.  Its a no meat day for me and these require no fixing.  Not a day to be proud of so I have to post it and be accountable.  I have plenty of meat prepped to heat and serve so tomorrow will be far better.

I want to  figure out how to make 'em into real popovers.  Dunno how yet, but I'LL PUT my mind to it!

Would be great with butter!

Thanks for getting this started today --  Here's why I was reluctant to post:

B:  brownie.  Then, coffee with cream, and more coffee with cream
S: bagel and cream cheese and lox (not an ideal day)
L:  finished the bagel wth cream cheese and lox (see what I mean?)
S:  apple
D:  vegetable soup, half a piece of bread, chicken stir-fry with vegetables
two glasses of wine -- they were worth it

In lighter news, I didn't get laid off today (though half my department did).  Hence, the bagel, fruit, bread, and wine.

Fortunately, in this case, the roux-en-y will keep it from doing much damage, but I suspect I'll need to go brutally low-carb for the next couple of days.

For those of you who are tuning in to read fine examples of how to do low-carb -- Today I'm setting an example of what NOT to do.

Alas, this sometimes happens to people.  And all it means is -- tomorrow, back on the wagon!

You're welcome.  When we don't want to post is when we need to.  My day was a different type of poor example so I forced myself to confess.  All those Catholic school years still have their grip on my conscience, lol.

Most here understand stress eating all too well.  Just think what it would have been before wls of any type.  Glad you beat the layoffs.

Saturday will be a healthier eating high protein low carb day for us both.

Bovril is a beef concentrate, about the consistency of honey and very dark.  Lovely on toast or bread and butter, you can make a beefy drink from it or add it to soups or gravy for extra flavour.  They stopped making it from beef about two years ago and introduced a vegetarian substitute...needless to say the company started to make it from beef again rather than go bust!  If I wanted Marmite I'd buy Marmite, not the same, no way!!

A Bubbly Snot Monster I am.  I think it was a parting gift from Janice when she left for her training course on Thursday morning.  She had 'Flu for about a week and a half but is now better.  Will try to pass it on to Alex ASAP!  LOL.  Have a good weekend.

There is no US equivalent to either Marmite or Bovril.

Unless it's miso paste, which is Japanese.
