Happy Tuesday!

I'm home with a kidlett today, so low-carb eating (at home) is a breeze:

B:  lox and cream cheese roll-up
S:  eggs with hollandaise sauce, and hot coffee
L:  hot turkey pastrami
S:  peanut-butter chocolate low-carb cookies and half a glass of milk
D:  chicken cacciatore

Howabout you?

Darn you woman... Darn me for joining this tread... just kidding... This group makes me accountable for my carbs,  Since I started here - I did not have one RH episode... I got close to one ... but only because I had dinner early one night, went to bed and took me a while to have breakfast the next day... so it was more like "hypoglycemia" and not RH.

Thanks guys.

Yesterday was not so good  low -carb day.  I still did OK, just have probably more than 70 net carbs... (can you say "ouch"?)

Today is going to be better,

so far had 25 net carbs.   But it is past noon here and I have a lot of low carb - protein mostly food that I like so I am going to be OK.
Plan to have no more than 40-45 net carbs today.  Maybe even less than that,.

So Doodle girl
Where are your veggies? I just joined this group and I have been doing Atkins for almost a year and have read the book. How are you going to get 12-15 vegetable NET carbs in at dinner time, since you haven't gottne any veggies until now?
Just wondering if you have the new (2010) book or are going by an old one maybe?

Trying to get through the night without attacking the fruit.  Ratios are not where I want them with carbs over 25%.  However, net carbs are near enough to 50g.  I left calories on the table that could have been used for protein and fats.  Had I added a good protein snack those carbs would have fallen in line.

Here it is for Tuesday:

You are so right that I tend to post where the protein comes from and neglect to mention the glorious details -- where the veggies fit in.  I'[m thinking that I need to add that, in the future.

FWIW -- today the veggies are the spinach that goes with the eggs hollandaise, and the tomatoes, onions, garlic, chard, and peppers that I throw into the cacciatore.  Maybe some mushrooms as well.

Thank you for bringing up this point!
