Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
Monday CARb Accountability Roundup
Totally bravo to you for holding back on the pancakes!
I remember when I first started doing Atkins -- I weighed 315 lbs at the time -- that it took Herculean strength to keep from eating the dangerous carbs. First of all, at the time it seemed like they were everywhere. And it was exhausting to show restraint all the time.
What got me through a lot of it was remembering a friend's comment ... the opportunitiy to "sin" is brief, and the urge will pass. (He wasn't talking about food, as I recall.) And frankly, the constant reminder that the temptation was transitory -- This got me through a lot of Pancake Moments!
Copgratulations!
