got back from visiting my DD and family and had to spend the weekend recovering. going again this week for another few days so will be MIA again from wed-Sat.

had an easier time with the kids snacks...I made sure to take some low carb and wls friendly snacks for me to offset theirs. I always take my own snacks and food bit this time I went  little farther and when I knew they were going to have pnut butter and jelly sandwiches,I was ready with my wasa cracker with pnut butter and AllFruit on it.  Made their options less enticing since I had my own comparable item.

I buy London broil or flank steak and ask the butcher to cut if thin for jerky.

I marinate it in some soy sauce, worschester sauce, garlic for a couple of hours or overnite or what ever time I have.

I have a dehydrator so I lay each piece out flat on the racks making sure not to let them touch each other. Dry them for 8-12 hours and they are ready.

If you don't have a dehydrator you can do the same thing in the oven with the pieces on a broiler pan. dry them on 200 degrees overnight.
