Hey there all!

I planned ahead, and packed my food for work, today!  Here's what I packed:

Snack:  Smoked Gouda and Peanuts
Lunch:  Shirataki Noodles with Homemade Traditional Beef Stew (no potatoes)
Snack:  Pickled herring in rich cream sauce
Dinner:  Sashimi with sugar-free cucumber salad and seaweed salad

Here's what I actually ate (because it was a busy day)

Breakfast:  Poached eggs and coffee (no time for hollandaise, that kinda day)
Snack:  Coffee with cream
Lunch:  Coffee with cream
Snack:  Coffee with cream
Dinner:  A piece of sashimi, no time for anything else!

I think it was about 10 grams of carbs, but not very healthy or well-balanced, despite my best efforts.  So as we can see from this example, we might plan, and still not hit the mark!  On a lighter note, all this great food is waiting for me when I get to work tomorrow!

How did your day pan out?

I did okay today, but I'm still trying to work out my eating schedule while I'm at school.

B--Coffee/cream
L--Maybe 1/4 of a Muscle Milk RTD shake, just couldn't choke it down
S-Scrambled egg peeled off a sausage/egg bagel sandwich
D-Eggface's crustless quiche, 1/2c green beans
S-1/4 c hot cocoa made w/skim milk, dutch process cocoa & splenda

The bright side is all of this ENERGY :)  Who knew that all this time it was the CARBS that made me crash after each meal?

Breakfast:  boiled egg, string cheese, 3 cherry tomatoes
snack: chicharones
Lunch:  Salad with chicken, cheese, using sour cream and hot sauce as dressing -yummy
snack:  ham/turkey, cheese, broccoli slaw, and seaweed wrap (just read an article that seaweed helps burn fat - I was on the bandwagon before the article)
Dinner:  Beef stroganoff over the shirataki noodles (thank YOU!!!!)  1 Sugar Free chocolate

Probably finish the day with a protein shake or low carb yogurt.

About 30 net carbs.

Good day.  Had a huge temptation event and avoided it (chinese - loaded with sugar, and a retirement celebration cake).  Just stopped by and wished him well and left - no eating - unheard of in the past.

Hey Paul, that's terrific on the 4 pounds.  I started on 1/10/2011 and I'm down 6 pounds.  I think this lowered carbs is really helpful for me along with the exercise I'm able to do again.  Can't wait to see your updated pics.  Congrats on the surgiversary.  Mine was last week.  I had 7 WLS friends come for a dinner party and it was great fun.  I hope you celebrate.

Once you see the photos you may wish you'd waited.....years!  I want to celebrate once I'm wearing 36 inch waist trousers, that'll be 20 inches off my waist since the op.  The last time I wore something in 36" was in 1973, 2 inches to go!!!!!

Hope you feel better soon.

Wow, you'll get there soon with the 36".  I'm breaking new ground in the weight department.  I finally got under 189 which I haven't been since the 1970's.  I'm hitting for 159 which will be a first since around 1975 or 1976.  My son was born in 1974 so that marks the various times in my life.

Thanks for the well wishes.

Hi,

I'm just checking in.  I haven't been logging my food faithfully for the last week since I started getting sick.  My Sleeve was very upset and I was throwing up a lot, not the I ate too much kind, but the many hours later kind of illness.  I'm posting so that I'll go back to logging every bite.  I think I've been in the under 30 carbs range because I have been mentally keeping track.  I want to do a big push with food and exercise to get me under 160.  I don't have far to go and that will be a huge victory for me as it's been since around 1976 since I've seen the 150anythings.

I'll start posting to this thread again as I think it's really good for me to do so.  It's great to see everyone doing so well.
