CARb Accountability Roundup! Monday, Monday ...

I had a home-alone night by myself last night.  In fact, the whole afternoon, evening, and this morning.  At first I freaked out -- what on earth was I going to do to occupy myself, when there weren't a million other demands on me?!?!  But you better believe I soon figured that one out!  Went through my Netflix queue (had to look up how to spell that!), and made myself a steak dinner with grilled asparagus, mushrooms, baked squash.  Even poured myself a glass of wine!  (Probably should have taken me back to my place for a good time, but oh well!)

This morning, made myself a nice breakfast, and will forge ahead with my day off (it's President's Day in the US).

If you really are reading the food list, you'll notice that I'm adding back in limited fresh fruit, and nuts.  Decided to slow (or even stop) the weight loss, because I'm lookin' kinda gaunt otherwise.

B:  Eggs hollandaise with spinach and lox; freshly brewed coffee with full cream; strawberries.
S:  Pickled herring in cream sauce
L:  Turkey pastrami and a freshly picked green salad with hothouse cukes and tomatoes
S:  Fried cheese in mild ajvar
D:  grilled ahi, with roasted eggplant, peppers, tomato (It's good to live in sunny California!)

Howabout you, folks?  How's your day shakin'?

Doing great. Low carb is good for me. I also add some fruits, but only the really "safe" one for me.
Sunday morning I exercised before i got anything to eat and my sugar dropped. So I was hungry some- during the day. I got some strawberries, and blackberries. And a few great crackers. beside that - all rest was low carb.

Today plan to eat good, but also low carb.

coffee+ almond milk
strawberries + cheese
protein shake
chicken soup+ flax
Salmon cakes + cucumber salad.
LNS: cheese or yogurt + proteins...

I'm working on a cold, yuck :(  so between that and all the %&!@ snow we've gotten in the past 24 hours, I've wanted nothing more than to dive head-first into a vat of carbs!

B-protein shake

L-protein shake

D-Eggface's crustless quiche recipe, ate about 5

S-10 almonds, sf hot cocoa

Definitely got in my liquids with all the water & tea I've been drinking.  I just didn't feel like eating today.

So sorry about the cold!  There are plenty going around this time of year, unfortunately.

I'm only remarking because of your previous post about not realizing the carbs sneak in ... but you might find a few lurking in your almonds and sf cocoa (so sorry to tell you .... did you know already?)

Isn't eggface's blog amazing?   I bet I show up there once a week to find something new.

I did know they were there :)  But as long as I keep my daily intake low, I figure I can handle them--for now!

Eggface's blog is the best!  I've gotten so many ideas from her, and I'm going to go today and buy some sf syrup for my protein shake so I can try some of her shake recipes.
