Saturday CARb Accountability Roundup == Weekend Edition

Hey there everybody!

The nicest thing happened to us last night, some friends invited the whole family over for dinner at the last moment, and it was a tremendously relaxing, pleasant, delightful atmosphere with the most amazing selection of home made foods ever!  Hoping to secure another invite again, some time soon!

One of the best dishes was an outstanding olive/garlic spread, and I'm going to be tackling the hostess and throwing myself at her feet to get that recipe.  It's primarily olives and fresh garlic -- How low-carb is THAT likely to be!  Mmmmmmmmmm

Anyway, this is MY plan for the day:

Pamper, pamper, pamper.  I have a stack of  reading about a foot and a half high, and I'm planning to spend a rainy weekend enjoying ALLof it!

My eating plan for the day:

B:  Coffee with eggs hollandaise: poached eggs, spinach, hollandaise, and smoked salmon
S:  Greek yogurt with fresh strawberries -- a perk of living in S. California is that we have fresh berries all year long!
L:  Borscht with smoked edam
S:  Tuna salad
D:  Roasted chicken with asparagus and kabocha squash

Interested in low-carb nutrition?  Thinking of trying Atkins? Want to try high-fat and/or high-protein eating?  Whether or not you have had (or are thinking about) WLS   http://www.obesityhelp.com/group/atkins/

Saturday 2220...

On Sunday I plan to have:

2 rashers bacon with a scrambled egg
2 Atkins bars
corned beef, mushroom, onion and celery soup
Gammon for Sunday lunch
Ardennes and bacon pate with Ryvita
Coffee and fruit teas.

I'd like to tidy the garage tomorrow...pigs might fly!
In 2 weeks I'll buy a Kindle from Amazon, access to about 500,000 free downloadable books, and will be able to download other books at a considerable saving.  The blurb states that you can keep up to 3500 books in memory at any one time - that's some serious holiday reading!

Have a great Sunday.
