Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
It's already FRIDAY? CARb Accountability Roundup!
I use it daily. It is great, but if you just starting - use maybe 1 tsp at a time.
No more than 2-3 Tbs of raw flax meal a day.
I usually us the in yogurt or in soups. I also use that in cooking (add to some foods).
Not sure how do you use it and what do you mean "goes right througg you"? What did you use d taht with? how much?

"Failure is not falling down, It is not getting up once you fell... So pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again...."
I also use ground flax seed as a random food additive in my cooking. I have used it with high-protein, low-carb muffins (see the recipe thread). But if I eat too much, the combination of fiber and omega-3s acts as a very effective laxative (whether I mean it to, or not).

About 30 net again - not loosing in droves, but since January 1, have lost the 11 that I picked up during the holidays. Feel much better - no carb coma.
Still need to get off the couch - I think that is pretty key to getting the last 10-20 off - hmmmmmm.
Going to go get the new atkins book so that I can refer to it and read it regularly - I do better with the reminder - it is inspiration. Also want to pick up the "layman" terms Taubes book (Why we get fat) - I read the big book he wrote and kind of drown in the big words, many have suggested reading the other.

LessieBelle, this gives me a good idea for a thread I'd like to start -- About our various successes and disappointments using low-carbing, since this group started. Eleven pounds seems like a huge accomplishment to ME! It's great to find you're feeling better, too.
The new Atkins book was very informational and motivational for me. The very technical Good /Bad book was a monstrosity to plough through -- think I read about evbery other word -- but very interesting nontheless. Still waiting for my turn at the newer Taubes book, from the library.
