Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
CARb Accountability Roundup - Saturday, Yippee!!!!
Okay, folks, watcha eatin' today?
I am on four antihistamines, plus decongestants, nose sprays, and inhalers. This headcold is whipping my behind (and everything else besides). So though I did in fact start my day with the customary eggs hollandaise and coffee with full cream, I think the rest of the day is going to be chicken soup, chicken soup, chicken soup, broken by the occasional cup of tea.
Not going to bother counting the carbs in the meds, but that's probably it for me, today!
What I want to know today:
1) What did you eat today? ANdddddddddd .....
2) What are you doing for fun this Saturday?

L -- Chicken soup and a flax-seed egg cinnamon muffin

This is not a healthy diet, but since my head is full of blah today, it will have to do. At least I'm maintaining my confidentiality!

We didn't do much fu,...tool MIL to the grocery...she can't see well enough to drinve any longer and cleaned out the chicken coop,since it was in the high 50's and sunny. Sorry u still feel bad...

Today was a beautiful sunny day in the Carolinas. It was still a little cool for this time of year for us but I will take it considering how much colder it has been.
DH and I took out our motorcycles and enjoyed some of the sunshine until we ran into all the traffic. I think every car in the city was out riding today.

Chili (judged a chili cook off)
Venti decaf soy latte
2 "Shout Out" Girl Scout cookies
Lettuce and tomato salad, low carb chicken and mac chicken casserole (posted on recipe thread)

I made a mistake eating the cookies and strawberries in the same day. Carbs bring on the most awful gas for me and boy did I pay!

I'm not going to report cause I'm off lc for today and yesterday. I've revised my eating plan for the month. Tomorrow It will be low cal and moderate lc at 25% total calories max.
Next weekend when I cycle the calories back, up I'll cut my carb max down. My diet needs a shake up.

Sunday 1000. This weekend we're cleaning and organising to move Alex (12) to the upstairs bedroom (bungalow extension on 2 levels). This will give everyone more privacy and allow us to reorganise the guest bedroom, computer room and gym room....hooray!
1 rasher bacon with 2 scrambled eggs and 1 oz cheese
2 Atkins bars
2 packets Ryvita Minis
4 ozs boiled gammon
Haven't thought of anything for the evening meal yet, but while I'm making Sunday Dinner I plan to make some lamb burgers for meals next week, so it might be...a lamb burger!
My fourth week stalled, GRRRRRR! Need another 16 pounds to the magic 100 and goal. Am cutting out 3 ounces of cheese a day to see if that helps, suggestions gratefully received

I had to cut out the bacon to start losing again. Bacon seems to be a maintenance food for me at this point because I'm very sensitive to the sodium. I think that Gammon is ham which would also be loaded with sodium. How much water are you drinking to compensate?
Many people also say that the atkins bars cause stalls for them. I stopped eating any protein bars when i started Atkins on 1/10/2011. This morning starts a new week for me. I'm down 3 pounds for these weeks. It's not a lot but it's more than I was shedding the month previous. I too am in that "close to 100 and goal" stage and I think I just need to really be careful of what I eat.
The atkins bars have a lot of carbs. Maybe having something else to fill in where you're eating the bars? I'd change one thing at a time to see what it is that helps you let go of those pounds. Maybe it's the bars, not the cheese?
