Good morning everyone!  It's a gorgeous, sunny, perfect day in southern California, and I'm about to go work in the garden ... If you're in the path of the recent snow/ice storm that is happening in 1/3 of the US -- we have some very nice real estate available in this part of the state LOL!!!

It's back-on-the-wagon day for me, and here's my plan:

Eggs Hollandaise (surprise, surprise!) with spinach and
coffee with cream

Fried cheese with TJs lower-carb marinara (there are several)

Decaf with protein-shake creamer

Chinese chicken salad (leftover chicken from last night)

And that's going to be about it for today, for me!!!

Howabout you???

Yannow, I have been on a fast-food rant for the last two weeks, just furious about it and what it does to kids, especially.  But do you know, the Hardees Low Carb Breakfast Bowl is maybe the first -- I mean the very first -- fast food restaurant dish that looks endorsable!  Thank you for having it LOL!

I eat those often and they are yummy but I find myself wanting them after breakfast hours ( so not a morning/breakfast person). So my only complaint is that  they don't serve them all day :)

I like breakfast foods for dinner best.  I actually don't usually enjoy breakfast out, let alone in a fast food place, but we are out of the house at 6:30 am and not usually back home until after 3 pm on the first Saturday of every month.

Until recently I could not tolerate leftovers, I would eat them and then Ms. Picky Pouch would send it right back up.  I found a steamer boat on QVC that allows me to reheat most foods and enjoy them. So I reheated the leftover breakfast bowl and it was actually better than fresh.  So I'm thinking of buying some for dinner once in a while since I can reheat them now.

I am right there with you on Fast Food restaurants.  I actually like my own food better than eating out anywhere lately.  So I was very surprised that I enjoyed that breakfast bowl.

Phyllis, I want to know what's in Italian Wedding Soup!

Wow, I actually stuck close to plan, today -- and came in UNDER my carb goal!  At this rate, I'll be into Atkins Flu in no time -- just in time, maybe, to administer final exams next week (which is actually a good thing -- I can sit there with my head in my hands as the students sit quietly writing out their tests).

I did in fact eat what I said I would, above, with the only exception -- no chicken salad was left for me, and I wound up having fried cheese with ajvar (instead of marinara) -- an even lower-carb choice and quite yummy!

Today's damage:

1450 calories
114 grams protein and
(drumroll please) 15 grams carbohydrate!!!!
Yayyy!!!!

Traditionally, Italian Wedding soup has little meatballs, in a broth with fresh escarole or spinach and an egg and parmesan mixture that is stirred in at the last minute.

But I cheat and make it with Italian sausage because it makes a wonderful broth, is just as good, and it's a lot easier.

For the sake of carbs it is better because in order for meatballs to be soft and not like ping pong balls, they should have bread or breadcrumbs in them.

Since having two days with fats below 50% I've gained 2.2 lbs      .  So far     .  Today I really wanted to say fkcu it and pick up my favorite snacks.  I settled for cold cuts and coke zero as my naughty foods.  Soda is no issue for me but I avoid the sodium.  That's as close to a treat as I'm going to get.
