Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
SATURDAY, YIPPEE!!! CARb Accountability Thread
So . . ., today will be as low-carb as I can stand it LOL. Gonna give myself at least two full days back on induction before heading back to work Monday morning, and see if better planning for stressful possibilities can help me out!
So . . . post your plan for the day, or your final total, but we all wanna see what yer eatin' (and know, as always, what's eating you!)

Rebecca, you do so great with your protein intake and manage to keep your calories low. Did I read that you're training for a race? Are you a student at Chico? My step daughter went to school there many many many moons ago. I remember it as being a nice little town.
We're close with our surgery dates! Our one year is coming right up. You've done a great job. Congratulations!

I am training for a race...a shoe store downtown holds races all of the time up in Bidwell Park and I signed up for the 10k in a few weeks! eeek!
And yes I go to Chico State but I grew up here. It's a nice town but i'll be done with it when I'm done with college after this semester lol.
Oooo we are only a day apart! You have done an awesome job as well! :)
I can see a shift in my face, more wrinkles, leaner since dumping the carbs three weeks ago. I'm not giving up on this, even when my tricky brain says that I should be eating way more fruit and veggies and probably some popcorn too. NOT. My tricky brain really knows how to do a number on me so I have to just stay vigilant and keep my eye on my goal. I have never in my life gotten to my goal before, and I've been dieting since elementary school - read over 50 years. I have always given up way before even getting close to goal. Now I have my Sleeve to help me and I am going to stay the course. I go to WW every Monday night and getting on that scale to remind me when my tricky brain screams FOOD that I have a goal.
I'll come back and report my food later tonight.

I was reading the Dr. Atkins bulletin board and several people were reminding some that Atkins is High Fat, not High Protein. It was said that excessive protein spikes insulin and we don't burn fat. When doing Atkins, I have always eaten higher protein because I just couldn't wrap my mind around the higher fat. I wonder if this has something to do with my body not responding well to Atkins.
Any opinions would be appreciated.

Its a higher cal day again. My carbs are over induction but under still 10%. Cream cheese was today's downfall on all fronts. I have water and a large mocha left for the evening. I hope not to eat anything more than a sf jello tonight. Problem is I'm feeling the munchies. Help me please.
