Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
CARb Accountability Roundup: TUESDAY!
Okay folks, here's the damage for the day: 1400 calories, 85 gm protein
B: Eggs hollandaise with spinach, coffee with heavy cream
S: Cheese wedges
L: Low-carb tortilla quesadilla with guacamole, and a handful of popcorn with my students
S: Sliced edam, protein shake
D: Something with ground turkey, not sure yet what it will be!
I have that ketone-ish taste in my mouth, so hoping this means progress. Been at a stall for about three weeks now, bleh!

Your dinner looks very very yummy indeed! Can't beat topping something with salsa and sour cream! (I may have to do that for my eggs tomorrow morning.)
I must say, even though I'm not losing right now I really do enjoy the Atkins way of eating. Today's lunch was a quesadilla with guac, and my colleagues nearly fell over themselves with envy that this was my diet lunch LOL

I love those whole wheat low carb tortillas and as soon as I'm further towards goal, I'm definitely going to add them back in. I like getting the high dose of fiber and still lowered carbs.
I too like eating Atkins style because of the freedom that it gives me from the flour and sugar cravings. What I'm craving now are some berries which will be coming soon to my food plan.
I read on another thread, not sure if it was here, about someone using egg beaters to make really thin wrap type egg things that are kept in the fridge with parchment inbetween them to keep fresh, then use to wrap things in. I did that recently using a whole egg that I fried really thin like a crepe. I can't remember what I wrapped in it though. DuH! ;)

This is my lower cal week so I must stay strong. I've done well so far. Plenty of plain water. Carbs at induction level and ratios are right on target as well. I have a desert and beverage remaining for tonight. Please let me do right and stick to plan.

Hi Barbara,
I remember seeing your Avi about a year ago. It's great to see you again. You'll be so happy after the first few days when the carbs are detoxed from your body. Just hang tight for the first few days and come here and scream about carbs if you need/want to.
Welcome!
