Atkins and Low Carb Weight Loss
Finished my first week of Induction
First and most importantly, I'm thrilled that the sugar and flour are out of my system! I feel such a sense of relief at not having them tied to my back. My office was filled with candy and fruit on the lunch table last week and I managed to just look the other way. I wanted popcorn in the movies yesterday but ate some peanuts instead. Being "cleaned out" makes it much easier to resist and walk away.
I'm such a slow loser and I stayed the same from Thanksgiving to New Years, with a 1.5-2 pound swing up and down all month depending on how many parties and how many office luncheons etc. I had the "choice" to eat flour and sugar and I chose to. Not so smart in the losing stage but I'm feeling happily back on track.
Today is my 11 month anniversary and next month on the 17th I go see my surgeon. I want to be closer to goal and I hope that will help me remember to always be mindful for the choices that I make.
Bonus! I'm down 1.7 pounds in the first week. This is the most I'd let go of in one week for months and months, so I'm quite happy.
I love the support here, so thanks!

Congrats on induction!
As another slow looser I appreciate what a 1.7 lb loss in a week means to you. Keep doing what you're doing.

have you joined the Sunday Weigh-In thread on the LW board??? It just started 2 Sundays ago and I'm posting there for the accountibility.....
Hi June! You're such a sweetie. I say, if what you're doing works for you, don't try to fix it because you may break it!
As far as the Weigh in thread, I'm such a slow loser that it just makes me feel bad about myself. The only place I weigh in as on ticker, on my scale and Monday nights at Weigh****chers. I can't race, with myself or others because it sets me up to feel like a failure.

Congrats Lee! It DOES feel so good to decarb!
Its hard to do it, so after its done and when you start seeing carbs again, its a good reminder we DON'T want to go back there again!
