Oh, how that bourbon betrayed me!

Or, is it that I betrayed me with that bourbon.

Calories, carbs, ratios perfect.  Plenty of water too.  Then I had a drink last night.   Just the one.  Up a full pound this morning.

A reminder that low carb does not like alcohol.  No more booze for me.  If only that pound would come off as easily as it came on.  Never in my universe.  Its like the immediate fluid retention is just a place holder for the comming fat.

Oh, what have I done to me!

Well, I've had that happen too -- Obviously it's not the calories or the carbs, because you cannot have consumed a full 3,500 calories in bourbon!  (Or, if you have, you've got bigger problems than just food management LOL).

I think it's the inflammation caused elsewhere, and I would guess that this inflammatory weight gain would, in fact, wash away in a few days.  Take heart!  All will be fine!  Just stick to your better WOE, and you'll be fine!

Thanks for the encouragement.  A few days, I only wish.  I'm still working through an inflamatory reaction from the summer.

Praying its just one pound and I have not started a new upward trend.  That 3500 cal = a pound of fat equation does not work for us 'metabolically challenged' folks.     Not even post op and low carb.

Oh golly, I feel for you. I'm of the variety that smells the food and gains.  I can so relate to your hoping that this is just a temporary setback.  Stick to plan and visualize it gone.  Let's put positive energy into that pound and think that it's just fluid to protect you from the inflamation and it will be gone tomorrow morning.  Think positive, then get out there and sweat.  :)
